La Aldaba — Restaurant in Michoacán

It’s a beautiful building, great location, and the staff are all so kind a friendly. However even though with lesser guests it’s hard to get what you have ordered within a decent time. We decided to skip the starters and go for mains, ordered wine and mineral water. I’d be happy to have the drinks arrive before the food as you take in the beautiful surroundings. But we were left waiting a while and had to ask a few times for what we’d ordered. The waiters are very attentive but we were repeating ourselves time and time again for the wine, the water etc. The duck sounded amazing on the menus but it was absolutely tiny when it arrived, I’m so sorry to say because it really sounded great and the waiter complimented the choice. That was not a breast or duck, that was 2 small slivers of a breast of duck, someone must have had the rest on their plate. I enjoyed my fish dish, though less vegetables than I was expecting but a decent portion of fish, well cooked and tasted nice. But the duck was sadly, a massive let down. The place itself is absolutely stunning and the staff are all great, I think a lot wasn’t in their hands with regards to the delays in drinks etc. I would go back, do sure (the wine was wonderful) but we would order something different, in the hopes to have a better satisfactory dining experience. We were starving before going in, and sadly left hungry. As I said I would give it another go, but change what we were having....and maybe...

Tanto la decoración y distribución del lugar así como la vista se llevan un indiscutible 10/10, debido a que el lugar es bellísimo (adjunto algunas fotos que tomé). Ahora bien hablando del menú, para mi gusto no tiene suficiente variedad y el mesero que me atendió de verdad no tenía idea de lo que me estaba sirviendo o de lo que contenía el menú, no me supo especificar que carne contenía el carpaccio, así mismo pedí una sopa de cebolla porque en el menú la describen como gratinada, aún así le pregunté si venía completamente gratinada (como la sirven en cualquier restaurante en el que ordenas dicho platillo) el mesero me dijo que sí, la ordené y cuál es mi sorpresa que la sirven con una rebanada minúscula de pan aguado y un pedazo de queso de menor tamaño aún. Deben capacitar a su personal para extender un mejor trato con su comensales así como CONOCER EL MENÚ que están ofreciendo debido a que como no tiene fotos, evidentemente no conocemos lo que vamos a pedir. Fuera de eso todo excelente. El precio pues es parecido en relación a lo que cuesta en los restaurantes de los alrededores así como cualquier restaurante de la cdmx que venda...
