We had the Burrito con Pollo and the Enchiladas con Mole, and they were absolutely delicious. The mole might even be the best we've tasted in Oaxaca! The restaurant might not have the most modern or aesthetically striking appearance from the outside, but don’t let that fool you. The quality of the food is outstanding, with authentic local flavors that truly impressed us. At around $10 per dish, it’s also very affordable. The waitresses were also very friendly and attentive. One thing to note is that you can only pay with cash, but there’s an ATM conveniently located right across the street, so this isn’t a problem. Overall, this restaurant should have a rating of at least 4.5/5. If you’re looking for authentic Oaxacan food with great service, this spot is a must-try!

This is such a cute little gem near Reforma st. especially for veggie/healthy options. I had been on the hunt for green and white pozoles. I had red several times since arriving in Oaxaca and Cabuche serves all 3 and even a veggie pozoles with mushroom. You can get small or large so I opted for a small and paired it with a small gourmet salad, that had baby greens, avocado, grapefruit and a delicious hibiscus dressing, along with green pozole con pollo, and a delicious glass of apple tepache. All were bursting with flavor and the perfect portion size for lunch. I was initially on the fence by some bad reviews, but I urge ppl to give them another chance. They have a diverse menu so I will definitely be back!

Amazing food and service, but often out of a selection. Visited over four times and while I think the breakfast wasn't up to par with the dinner options, I did only eat two dishes. The chilaquiles were overly bitter and the enfrijoladas were basic. However, the options in the evening exceeded expectation, totally killing the taco game. Perfectly seasoned, tenderly cooked proteins accompanied with a broad and deep range of flavors over homemade blue tortillas. Service is equal to food, exceptionally friendly and often accomodating when they were out of something, which happened a lot to us and is the reason for an otherwise perfect experience dropping a star.

Do not give this man your business!! What is the problem with the owner???? He is so mean and rude.

We ate a nice and relaxing lunch . They cleared everything away. We asked for the bill. Waitresses completely forgot a salad that we had ordered. That isn’t a big deal…it happens. But we saw that the salad had been charged on the bill, we told the waitress that we never received it and would she correct the bill. She returned after a bit and said the salad was ready for us to eat - even though she had cleared the table and we were preparing to leave. 😳. Then here comes the unhappy owner who proceeded to insult our b1ish attempts in Spanish at explaining and tell us condescendingly that his was not a fast food restaurant. He insisted that the salad was ready and therefore we must pay for it😠. It was a pretty uncomfortable exchange. His tone was loud and angry. To avoid his wrath, we paid it and vowed never to return even though before this issue we were saying that we needed to remember the restaurant. Note that after reading other reviews, we were not the first to have...

This WAS one of my favorite places for lunch until last week when one of my molars got cracked as I chewed on a small stone that was hidden in my salad. To make matters worse, when I talked to the waiter to complain about it, I was told that most likely the stone came in the bags of the supposedly pre-washed salad that they put on your plate directly from the bag without washing it first to make sure it is indeed clean or at least checking everything is fine with it. They did offer an apology and cut the bill in half, but that did not heal my broken tooth nor will it restore my confidence in them, especially now that I have learned from their own mouths about their poor hygiene practices in the kitchen. It really does NOT matter how "good" the food, the service or the location of a restaurant is if they put your health at risk for their lack of hygiene and...

An ‘authentic’ Mexican food restaurant (they serve burritos!) for those tourists who don’t want to venture to the street food stalls or don’t want to spend money on the really wonderful restaurants Oaxaca offers. Service is also dicey. I’ve eaten there three times. First time food was good but service quite slow. Second time when after half an hour I asked where my tacos were I discovered later that we had been billed twice for those tacos. Tonight I asked for my beer after my first course was served. Tip: when your service is not great, at least serve the drinks. Again, I was charged twice for the beer. And they serve really overpriced very average ice cream. I only went tonight because I saw they had a free table and Oaxaca is crowded for Christmas. I won’t ...
