Mariscos la Frontera — Restaurant in Oaxaca

I stumbled upon this place by chance while walking on the main street. In my opinion, this small cozy restaurant has the best and freshest seafood this playa has to offer. I enjoyed my pulpo meal with a fresh cold coconut drink on a hot day. They cooked the seafood fresh from their aromatic smoky wood fire grill if you order their grill dishes.

Food is very tasty. I can tell from the food that the owner of this restaurant and chef puts his heart and soul into his food. A very passionate chef indeed.

I got a whole fried fish and sadly this made me so so Ill. Was in bed for 10 days and ultimately had to fly back home from Mexico because I was so unwell - honestly ruined my trip:(( don’t know if it was the fish or rice. Also we had to wait over 2 hours for this food and there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant - they kept saying it’s coming it’s coming but we could see they hadn’t even started making it. Sadly worst experience in 2 months (cut short because of this meal)...

Definitely one of the best places around to eat seafood, it is very affordable, the place is nice and most important of all.. the chef is amazing! Food is super delicious 😋 ... I recommend the ceviche and...
