BEWARE - SCAM! Triple check your bill before paying, especially if you’re not local.

On our two week holiday in Mexico this was the only bar that tried to scam us.

The bar advertises a very good 2 for 1 happy hour deal for bottled beer, which based on the number of bottles on surrounding tables, looked very popular.

The issue arises when you request the bill. The staff claim the deal is not available on certain days. There was no small print on the menu showing any restrictions, nor did the staff say anything when we ordered the happy hour beers. Maybe it’s a tourist tax?

If you are not entitled to the happy hour deal, you would assume the standard price would apply - however they tried to charge us even more than that! They clearly make prices up as they go along.

If only they used the extra revenue to clean the men’s bathrooms - which smell revolting!

This is not anywhere near an Irish pub. Was difficult to find, located within building on second floor with no signage. I Walked in on St Patrick's day and didn't see any attempt to celebrate the national holiday of Ireland, it happened to coincide with a local holiday. Staff did not seem to know that it was St Patrick's day. Lots of locals were drinking which was great but Very little actual Irish influence present and service was very poor. Guinness only available in cans. Not a place to represent Irish pub culture but it is popular with locals. We normally don't visit Irish pubs abroad and unfortunately we were feel like we still haven't visited one, this was suited more like a local bar with an Irish name. Utter disappointment through and through. The food, even if you're really hungry, is ok AT BEST. Had super dry burgers and soggy fries, by far the worst food overall we've had in Mexico. The service is extremely slow and doesn't speak a word of English. Reasonable for a taco joint at the side of the street but for an "Irish Pub"... ridiculous. Even though it is a sports bar, they don't show American football (NFL), though claimed via phone and in other reviews. Only German Bundesliga on like 30 TVs.
