Praga Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Oaxaca

Hey, I’m a Mexican 32 years old and I never expect to be treated this way by Mexican fellows.

We ordered 1 wine 1 beer we got 2 wines 1 beer… I say fine we can share an extra wine. ( didn’t want to cause a Karen scene isn’t my vibe)

Anywho we want to swap places by coming to the terrace which was much nicer and quiet … but they told me that I wasn’t able until I paid my bill so I wanted there until my bill come.

In the meantime, my partner ( Australian ) went upstairs and got a table for us …

After 15 mins and 3 times of requesting the bill I stood up went to the till and asked for it for a 4th time. The man said will bring it to you? You can’t be here.

5 mins later after ZERO response and bill my partner came down to ask for the bill and it was given to him within. Seconds …

I’m I being racially targeted by my own ??? And if so it sucks and hurts.

Because there shouldn’t be a difference in race and the place we come from!

My partner had to ask for all our drinks and off if not I would be ignored by the staff….

We end up fishing our drinks and coming to the place up front that was way much nicer...

The environment was the best part of the restaurant. The waiters were inattentive- we had to call someone over who looked unhappy to be summoned but we had not even been able to order drinks. When ordering food I asked about an allergy and the waiter cut me off to tell me not to order a specific dish, if he had let me finish my question without speaking over me he assumed I was talking about something completely different and I missed out on ordering what I would have liked which it turns out would have been safe. We waited for quite a while and only 1 of the 3 meals we received was any good or as advertised. Funny that the burger at an italian restaurant was better than the 2 pasta dishes. The alfredo sauce had no cream in it and we could hardly find the parmesan that was supposed to be on both dishes. Pepper and salt were not available or offered and could have done wonders for the...

Worst Bar in Oaxaca!! Avoid please! Disrespectful staff. I work in hospo and this is down right disgusting behaviour. Waiter sat us in a table 1 foot from band. Ask for 1 x beer & 1 x glass red wine. 10mins pass. He brings 2 x glasses red wine. I ask him where’s the beer? “He says ya coming.” 5mins later beer doesn’t show up. I ask if we can sit up on the empty balcony to another waiter cause there’s more space. He says yes. Our waiter says no until we pay our bill. I ask for bill twice he doesn’t bring it to table. I ask 2 more times he ignores us. I walk up to bar. He’s scrolling on instagram with his coworker saying ya its coming.

I look around 2 x bartenders on their phones. Chefs on their phones in the kitchen. Disgusting behaviour and rude. They expect tips for not...
