Antojitos Sandra — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

I've been in Playa just over a month now and you are spoilt for choice with places to eat here...

I've been to a wide variety of Mexican food places, for tourists, local, high end, street food, cafes.... But I have to say, this place has become my firm favorite....

I just happened to come across it one day exploring the back streets beyond 5th and 10th and thought I'd give it a go... Glad I did...

It's local and rustic, but clean with nice attentive staff. Good selection of drinks and wide selection of dishes on the menu.

The food is fresh, not greasy and they even make their own fresh tortillas in house.You can see the lady in the back corner preparing them each day by hand...

All of the dishes I have tried are delicious but I have to say my favorite is their Chorizo Tacos. Sublime.

Went there a couple of times a year ago, always great, never a problem. Today I got ripped off, the waiter covered 50 pesos too much (more than 50% of the actual total!), when I asked him about the high total he was evasive, so I just paid and left. When I later came back and showed him a detailed calculation, he gave me back the 50 pesos very quickly, but I bet he tried this before and will try again. Food is great, but be careful when presented...

Somos clientes desde hace mucho tiempo, y siempre había estado super!, pero hoy que fuimos a cenar nunca nos habían atendido tan feo!, Fuera de que 0 traían bien puesto el cubreboca, tanto la mesera como los cocineros. La forma en la que nos sirvieron fue desagradable. Parecía que su cuchillo no tenía filo, pues ni cortaron nuestra carne del consomé como debía ser, y nos sirvieron poca cantidad de carne. Pedimos un salbute de maciza y nos dieron puro pellejo tieso y seco, y aunque pedimos que nos cambiarán la surtida por maciza solo nos echaron un poco más de carne seca, porque ni pa' cambiar el salbute pues se veía la cebolla y cilantro revuelto con la carne. horrible experiencia la de hoy. Pensamos que pudo haber cambiado de dueño, o de cocineros, porque eso nunca nos había pasado. Iniciando que el servicio de mesero era súper, y la que nos atendió hoy fue más que feo! Hoy sí nos fuimos sin llenarnos, pagando algo que no consumimos, y con un trato horrible, pues pedimos tortillas calientes (pues para variar la que nos dieron estaban frías) y tardaron las horas que quisieron, porque ni...
