What a treat it was to stumble up on La Casa de los Antojos. I’m in Playa del Carmen vacationing and have been trying all sorts of restaurants. Most have been good. Some not so much. La Casa de los Antojos is my favorite place so far. The banana leaf and corn husk tamales are so tasty! So flavorful that my taste buds were dancing. I ordered the chilaquiles con huevos and they were so good. The sauce was tasty, the eggs were cooked perfectly. The chips were the way they’re supposed to be, crunchy while moist with the green sauce they use. The salsas they brought out (green and red) were equally good. The one thing that didn’t reach the same high level of taste was the gorditas de chicharrón. They/the meat and sauce combos inside was a little dry. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.

Our server Alexis was so sweet and attentive and the price was excellent for all we enjoyed. After dinner my daughter said she wanted to...

The food we did get didn't treat taste good or fresh. Chicken in the tacos was dry and chewy, gorditas chicharones old and chewy. My husband has been I'll since dining there, which is a first since being here.
Visited twice during our PDC visit. I really like the gorditas and platanos. Reasonably priced. Servers are friendly...
