Amazing place!! I loved everything about Manne’s Birrgarten. The staff are extremely friendly and make you feel like you belong. The atmosphere is very “dive bar” like, and super chill! Lots of seating as well. When my family got there we noticed throughout the stay that there are a ton of regulars (that’s always a good sign) the staff treated them like family.
The food!! No complaints here. You want authentic German cuisine, look no further! The schnitzel was giant and delicious, my partner got the chicken and I got pork so we could try both (I recommend the chicken) She also switched out the potatoes for the sparzel. Her dad for the prime rib and her mom and aunt got the half chicken. We all enjoyed our dinner and even had some leftovers. The prices were very reasonable! Definitely cheaper drinks than any other place we’ve been.
After dinner with her family, we went back for some late night drinks with the younger family members and loved the friendly positive atmosphere. Plus, again, cheap drinks ! Staff are so fun and friendly.
Anyways, the takeaway here is that this place deserves more than 5 stars. Do yourself a favour and check this place out! You won’t be...

The service. The servers Ricardo and Joel are hands down the classiest servers in Playa. They remember your name and even so much as when the last time you visited. Their welcoming vibe keeps us coming back again and again.
The food. I am not German and nor can I speak to what authentic German food tastes like, but coming from Central Texas where German-inspired restaurants are common, I can say the food here is consistently on point. Consistent is the keyword here. We typically get the pork schnitzel with the potatoes and kraut -- with some salsa to add a kick. The food never disappoints and the beer selection is fantastic. And they serve a great post-meal tequila that I believe is made in-house, and is as smooth as any top-shelf quality you'll get anywhere.
The atmosphere. This is a laid-back spot with a very friendly, divey feel that I like a lot. You'll often find the owner - Manne - hanging out. Anytime we're in the area we like to stop by for a beer and mingle in the vibe.
Check it out - you won't be...

My homebase restaurant. If you don't meet friends there, you'll make friends there - just like you would at every Irish bar except it's a German bar . Mäane's has a double menu of authentic Mexican AND German food. The schnitzel and chocolate tequila are to die for!
It's a cozy space filled to the brim with jovial Germans who have nothing but a damn good time on their minds.
Sitting at the bar here reminds me of sitting at a small local NYC bar during 90's and Millennium when people spoke to each other freely as if they knew each other and were continuing a conversation about something nostalgic.
Speaking of nostalgia the music is set to Mtv music videos on YouTube when the local busking talent are not performing at the entrance.
There's a vibe of enthusiasm that cannot be explained. You just have to be there and order...
