We recently celebrated my friend’s birthday at a delightful Indian restaurant in Playa Del Carmen and had a truly wonderful evening. From the moment we arrived, Priya made our experience extra special with her friendly and attentive service—she was absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. My friend is vegetarian and she thoroughly enjoyed the vegetable tikka, which was full of vibrant flavors and cooked to perfection. I opted for the chicken tikka, which was tender, juicy, and perfectly spiced. To accompany our meals, we shared some naan bread that was outstanding—soft, fluffy, and with just the right hint of char from the tandoor. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a birthday celebration or any special occasion. We absolutely loved our dinner at Mas Masala last night. We sat outside at around 5:30 pm and the open air was beautiful. Two young men attended to us and promptly delivered our cocktails and a delicious crispy bread with a couple of aromatic toppings to go with it. We didn't order any appetizers but we will next time. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and my wife ordered the Chicken Butter Masala along with a side of Garlic Naan. Priya, the lovely owner, stopped by our table to answer our questions about the menu before we made our choices. Both meals were a solid 10/10 for flavor, temperature and presentation. Mas Masala: A Hidden Gem for Indian Food in Playa del Carmen

We’ve tried other Indian restaurants in Playa del Carmen, but Mas Masala truly blew us away—it’s unlike anything we’ve ever had before. The flavors are so bold and authentic, especially the Chicken Tikka, cooked in their authentic tandoori oven, and the rich, creamy Paneer Tikka Masala.

The Indian tacos were a total surprise—such a creative twist, and you won’t find them anywhere else! We also noticed they’ve added a Chef’s Sampler to the menu, which lets you try a variety of their best dishes. Next time, we’re definitely ordering that!

The location is perfect—on 15th Avenue and Constituyentes—with easy street parking. Honestly, it felt like such a treat to find a spot this good, and we’re really excited for others to experience it. If you love Indian food or are just looking for something special, Mas Masala is the place to go!...
