Starbucks — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

I ordered a small coffee. It was 62 pesos. Alondra asked if i had 2 pesos. I did not. She again asked if i could spare two pesos? I said no. She proceeded to short me 3 pesos in change and then shrugged.... i was visibley upset.

Its not the amount but the principle. I asked to speak to a manager. Someone from the back came that clearly had the same authority as the attendants did. After citing things like "what do you want me to do" or "alondra doesnt speak english" when the whole conversation had been in spanish was particularly mindblowing.

*The point of this review is to make sure people count their change and do not accept this type of behaviour in playa del carmen. *

I have lived in playa, on and off, for over 10 years. It would also be nice to have starbucks implement a review of its franchises here for quality control. Also, the management of the specific store...

We try not to go to this Starbucks, but today we didn't want to go further down Fifth Avenue and decided to come here. Today was the last straw that made me write a review. My husband was made a terribly bitter caramel frapuccino. Instead of caramel macchiato, they gave me just coffee with milk without caramel. The coffee didn't have any foam at all. When I asked if it was a caramel macchiato, they answered yes, but added caramel topping. Due to the fact that the milk didn't have any foam, all the caramel sank to the bottom. I stirred the drink, but it didn't help. It was disgusting. As a result, my husband and I both threw our coffee into the nearest trash can. I don't recommend this Starbucks to anyone. As a result, 210 pesos ($12,5) were thrown away! Our choice is a Starbucks next to H&M, where they make...

Best Starbucks in the world. I slow-travel full-time, so I’ve been to a lot of Starbucks and I have to say with all sincerity that this one is the BEST. I come here almost daily for months at a time when I’m in Playa and they invariably get my order perfect, which is such a relief. It’s a HUGE comfort in my travels. Plus the staff is so nice! 😭🫂💜 They’re very friendly, efficient (it’s always busy and they work so hard and do such a good job), and competent.

Being a business owner and having managed many teams in my life I know how precious good employees are and even though I’ve never met the manager, I know how hard management is, so they must be amazing too if their team and store is so well run.
