Chinicuil.holbox — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

Extremely dishonest and I wouldn't recommend. Go somewhere else.

Front menu suggests tacos at chinicuil is 35each. Inside menu doesn't say the individual prices of the tacos. We ended up getting billed almost twice the suggested cost. Was suggested two tacos. Received two different and was told they were the wrong tacos. Waiter acknowledged they made a mistake and we received our original suggested order. However, we ended up getting charged for the mistakes made by their team.

Food wise, it's was tasty and was solid value for initial advertised price. But not worth the prices they surprise you with. Service was initially okay, but dishonest in the end, that ruined the entire experience.

Respectfully, I wouldn't recommend this place as you can get better food for better value and...

A really cute spot that felt like a proper authentic experience. Everybody is so nice and obviously really cares about what they do. The food all had great depth of flavour, particularly the pozole. They bring complimentary tortilla chips and various excellent homemade salsas and sauces, all of which unique and tasty. The kitchen is somewhat open so you can watch them grilling your tortillas. Their very cute dog wanders around the outdoor seating too. It was just a shame it wasn’t more busy - this seems to be a real hidden gem!...

We decided to eat at this restaurant due to the amazing reviews it has, and I can 100% confirm that the top rating is well deserved. I personally think it's the best food I've eaten on my trip through Quintana Roo. Every dish was deliciously good and we were so impressed. The service is top quality also and the staff are all very friendly. I only wish it had more customers because this restaurant deserves to be full every night. Thank you for a great Mexican...
