Obsidiana Tulum — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

I don’t even know where to begin. I’ve been living in Tulum for 6 months now, and accidentally stumbled across Obsidiana on my first night out when I just arrived. A solo female traveler. It was love at first sight and till this day it truly is my favorite place. Let me tell you why. The atmosphere, simply unmatched anywhere else. It’s magical, it’s stylish and EVERYONE who works there brings so much beautiful energy place is literally filled with love and joy. Music… their Dj sets are the best , simply the best, I had to skip my taxi rides many times cause I had to listen to more music and couldn’t leave. drinks are absolutely delicious Allan, the owner is just an amazing human who puts his entire heart into this place. You can feel it in every detail. He always takes care of his guests with so much warmth and genuine care. Food. They also own a restaurant across the street ONYX and it’s a high end delicious cuisine. Everything I tried was top notch. The octopus was to die for.

Over all I can’t recommend this place enough. For the atmosphere, for the drinks, for the music, for its people and some serious magic.

It has been a very special place since day one for me and I feel lucky I’ve found it. If anyone asks where to go at night in Tulum it’s always my number one recommendation.

I came here on a busy night with some friends and was greeted with the most hospitable service. The atmosphere is most inviting, they had a live dj. My server warned me that there might be a bit of a wait because of how busy it was but I honestly felt that the wait was reasonable. Rocio was great at attending us, she made great recommendations and was really knowledgeable about the menu. She has a good spirit and was very friends and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place without hesitation and I look forward to coming back. Great food, atmosphere and service. My whole party really enjoyed their food. I went to Obsidiana with my sister after trying Onyx and Obsidiana was just as good ! Food was fantastic, I’m vegetarian, I really appreciated all of their options. More of a party set up with a DJ, the vibe was fun, it’s open til late so you can also just go grab a drink, enjoy the music and dance your heart out ! I will definitely be back, they really treated us like family....
