I was looking for this restaurant due to the high rating online. It didn't disappoint us. The food is pretty good and choices are not bad either. Their tuna tartare is good and I don't get sick eating raw fish here (nor anywhere in Mexico.. so far) This place is pretty good and I'd almost give them a 5 star but there is just one thing I didn't like: they charged me a 16% on top of the total price, which I guess is tax (they did not explain it). But there's only two restaurants in my trip ever charged an additional 16% tax on top of their menu prices: the other one was definitely a scam. So I ain't sure if this is legit 16% tax or just an 'add on' to tourist. I kind of feel like it's a scam because every other single place I eat at never add anything on top of their menu prices. I didn't complain it with them because it's a small addition and I'd tip them anyway. But if this is really a tourist thing they added to their bill, I hope they won't do it again. After all, now with all these online reviews info, we tourists are not plain idiot and have a feeling of being taken advantage of is not a...

Had to check this little restaurant out after reading the reviews. 2 of our party of 3 had the Torres (volcanoes) and the third had a shrimp salad Very good! I had the volcanoe with octopus and it was super tender Thin slices of octopus that were not chewy/rubbery Mes amigoes agreed that their servings were also very good. Only complaint was that they added a 15% tip onto the bill. Seriously if they are going to charge a mandatory tip just raise the prices by 15% Did not complain because the food was good but if I were back home in Canada I would have placed the money down on the table and then said let's discuss what the tip is going to be I'm the customer and I will decide to tip what I feel is appropriate!! FYI I do usually tip at least 15% and when I feel that both the service and the food are exceptional it ends being in the 20% range Would not return to this place again because of this arrogant we are worth...

The place has a humble shanty appearance, no running water or a/c yet prices are elevated. Yes, the flavor is there and food looks elegant, but the texture of tortilla to the shrimp does not match nor the fried tacos to the fish. It left a bitter aftertaste. Also, I had a combo of fish and rice. The rice was nicely fried. It reminds me of Filipino fried rice from my origin. The fish apart from its store name is not seafood but well seasoned nevertheless. The salad they used as topping and side is colorful and tasted like sauerkraut. A bit pretentious place, but from a seafood eating culture, one can tell the fishy ones. My advice to the owner, please learn the demographics of the area and understand tourist come for the Mayan beauty and don't bring that ignorance your ancestors brought to these beautiful natives. It's game over. We know why this beautiful country became...

This restaurant should be renamed “ahorita mismo” Mexican for right away, but in actual fact meaning don’t hold your breath (in my opinion). Having said that, the food was decent and the atmosphere was modern and welcoming. It’s architecture is what is apparently known as Tuluminati. Meaning you put wood, cement, black painted metal and plants, and you get a modern looking place like the other 1000 in Tulum that look the same. Personally I thought Tulum was very touristy and the city has changed to adapt to this. I would not go back to Tulum. But if you do go, this is a decent restaurant. The seafood tower was nice, but I hope you like Jenga, because good luck trying to get different elements in the tower without destroying it! The flavoured waters were great too. And so were the fried shrimp. You get a box with sauces. Never had I seen these many. My favourite was the garlic Mayo.

If you like fresh seafood, this open-air restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere with a simple menu full of fish, shrimp, clams, and octopus, served with a variety of delicious sauces. My partner and I went here for dinner on a Saturday night and enjoyed the house ceviche, a fish burrito, and a fish taco. The burrito and taco were my favourites, especially since you could douse them in any sauce of your choice. The ceviche was also good; but for me, there was more raw shrimp on the plate than I’m comfortable with eating on a warm night. I’m not necessarily knocking it; just noting it for others who may be wary of raw shrimp. I uploaded a current pic of the menu as prices have gone up since the last menu photos were shared. All in with tip (but no drinks), we spent about $40 Canadian for three items.

I ate too much and am soooo happy about it. Small, no-frills spot. Tables turn over quickly so just hang outside for a few minutes and something will open up. Everyone working there was extraordinarily kind and friendly. I would say the fried marlin tacos are a must! It’s not fried fish on a soft shell—the whole taco is fried, and it is heavenly. The guacamole and mixed seafood tostada were also very good. I don’t think you could go wrong with any order here. The large variety of sauces available at the table was a nice surprise! It’s not on the menu, but they do have beer. If you have room for dessert, walk two blocks east on Calle Sol Pte. for marquesitas (or crepes…or churros) from one of the many carts along the park.
