I wouldn’t bother booking this place at all. Do not come here and fall for all these reviews. Hospitality is poor staff unfriendly and uninviting and the “boutique hotel” is just a fancy way of saying they’re cheapskates. We arrived yesterday and the sheets were dirty, assuming housekeeping didn’t bother changing the sheets after previous guests left. Thought we wouldn’t notice and we probably wouldn’t have if there weren’t some disgusting stains on them 🤢 Seriously troubling to know we could have just been sleeping in used sheets. The poor guy at the desk had to change the sheets for us even though that’s not his job. The sheets being dirty made the whole room feel dirty and gross because what else wasn’t cleaned? Shower was dirty and covered in limescale. Hotel also doesn’t give two key cards even with two guests staying. I’ve stayed at many hotels and never ever come across that. It means that if one of us leaves, they either can’t get back in or their other sits in a dark room without AC. A bit absurd in all honesty. It doesn’t take much to have two key cards made per room. Breakfast is insufficient and they don’t warn you when they don’t have some of the things listed in the description. I got the pancakes but the which said comes with fried bananas and berries. They bought it out with fried plantain and no berries saying they had none. Yet didn’t warn me before I ordered. The portions are tiny, not in any way a sufficient breakfast. What’s worse is I should have known because they make you sign a waiver at check-in saying that if you decide to leave before the given departure time they won’t refund you. So we’re stuck here now and can’t even go to a different hotel without losing the money we paid for this place.
No TV in the rooms. Pot of tea and coffee I wouldn’t use after the sheet debacle because it’s not individually sealed packets and just a pot with whoever is putting their hands in there.
Beach club access but you have to pay everytime you enter because it’s in a national park. They sheer audacity to market it that way without telling people they have to pay MXN$400 every time they go.
This place is aesthetic and I feel like that’s why people come stay here, it looks good on Instagram or pictures but I’d rather stay in a clean hotel with good amenities to make my stay enjoyable instead of just...
Read moreFabulous, comfortable rooms, nicely decorated also & cleanliness of room & grounds was A1. Location was ideal for us as was quiet yet a very close, easy & safe walking distance to town where there was a wide selection of bars, cafes & restaurants. However do note that if you want to stay in a resort by the beach this hotel is not for you as is a 15 minute drive away from the beach. We had a car so wasn't a problem & parking on the property was easy & very convenient to also leave & head out of town. ||One reason why we chose Casa Agape was for the roof top pool & being a driving distance away from the beach it was nice alternatie to laze by & come home to & cool down after being out all day. Although the pool is rather small it wasn't a problem for us as it was quiet, but if you have to share the space with others through peak season it may be a tricky.|We had afternoon drinks served from the pool level, they were reasonably priced, delicious & great to watch the sunsets with. Staff at front desk were extremely helpful & polite as too were all cleaning staff. Would definitely return & recommend if you want to base yourself in downtown.||Although the rooms & all public grounds on property were kept very clean we found the restaurant where breakfast was served really let them down. A simple thing like keeping the tables clean, washing out old butter from the butter jar before adding fresh butter, making fresh coffee shouldn’t be a big ask when offering this service within the facility & staff here were less friendly. When booking the hotel the add reads that you have access to the hotels beach club sister hotel but forget to mention the exuberant day cost to enter the national park & other costs you are hit with so in our opinion don’t be fooled & drawn in by this & if staying enquire about this cost before heading there...
Read moreBeautiful, low-key hotel. The staff are super friendly. Rooms are very clean. We loved that one of the four walls was a whole window, with sliding doors out to a balcony that we used more than any other balcony we've ever had at a hotel. ||We loved the vegan roof-top restaurant, Casa Vegana. The food was amazing there, as well as the service. A complimentary breakfast each morning meant we started the day right every day. And this isn't just some biscuits and fruit. You order off a menu, 7 different options to choose from. You get fruit juice and your choice of tea or coffee. Well worth the price of the room and then some. Our server, Blanca, was so great. ||You might see in other reviews that there is noise around the hotel. Yeah, there's a hostel across the street that likes to party. Just install a white noise app on your phone or run the air conditioner and it shouldn't bother you at all. ||We loved how close the hotel was to the main road you use to access everything. Just a block away. Which also meant an easy walk to great shopping and restaurants. ||The access to, Diamante K, which is beach-front resort, was great. You don't get ALL the amenities there, but you get free parking for the beach, a place to change and shower, a restaurant, lounge chairs and beds right on the (rocky, but still beautiful) beach. Also, it's just down the way from a beautiful (and not-at-all busy) sandy public beach, where you might encounter sting-rays if you're attentive! ||If you're vegan or vegetarian and stay here, in addition to Casa Vegana, you need to also try the Perro No Come Perro food stand just around the corner (toward the main road less than a block away). Great food and...
