Who would have thought you could get such amazing Lebanese food in Cozumel. Off the beaten path but worth the trip! Don't let the exterior fool you. This is fresh quality food. I had the Tabbouleh which was fresh and light. Sometimes food get "heavy" here and this was a great change. And an Arab taco (had to lol) love it was on pita bread. Not a big fan of corn tortillas so perfect for me. I also like it had cheese. I had never had Arab coffee before and was a little scared when it came in a tiny cup. Flash back to bitter espresso! So I add a little sugar and went for it.. was soooo smooth. None of the bitterness I prepared for. My friend had the Kebap which made me jealous! Next time. And of course have the coconut pudding! I have gone back just to get the pudding. The owner is a great guy who we enjoyed a conversation with. He has a little herb garden under the grape vine canopy. Let me try the oregano he puts in one of his salads. I thought I hated oregano. Not this variety! Just take the time and effort to go. You won't be sorry! We live here and after mentioning it every comment to my post was how...
Read moreAlways looking for restaurants with vegan options, we ended up at Arabian Tacos. I love the Libanese cuisine so finding it in Cozumel made me happy! The owner is extremely friendly, speaks good English and is up for a chat. The food is simply delicious! Best falafel we've ever had and i loved the eftoyer! Unfortunately there was no vegan dessert in the menu so that disappointed me a bit because I'm a real sweet tooth. The owner told he used to have a vegan coconut cake (/pie) but he hadn't made it for a while. He said he would make it again in 2 days so we promised to come back (and we did). So we ate at Arabian Tacos for a second time and I had the coconut cake. So happy we went back because the food was stil delicious but the cake was heaven ♥️ Do go here if you want good food, served by friendly people for a...
Read moreWe are frequent travelers to Cozumel (live in Tulum) and me and my Mexican spouse come here every time for the delicious food you can't find anywhere else around this part. The Kibe is to die for and the arab tacos are always moist and delicious. However, it is the Baba Ghanoush that is just so perfect here. I was always a late night food item for me after the bars in Washington DC and we both crave this dish the second we get off the ferry.
Do yourself a favor and come here and enjoy. This is why we don't do All-inclusive Resorts. Gems like this you will miss.
Quick update. Tried an Arab Taco place in Playa and it was simply awful. The hummus tasted nothing like hummus and the bread and meat tough as nails. Makes me appreciate this place...
