Very average overall. This burger king is situated at the front of a small but very nice strip mall in the middle of the Cozumel urban sprawl. It is actually somewhat small, or at least it feels like that for the average costumer, it feel like the place is divided in thirds, one third for the play place, other for the tables and the “dining” area and the other third for the kitchen. Speaking of, they have a play place, which might not sound as a big deal to some people but here in Cozumel it is extremely rare to find any place that has this type of catering to kids, and consequentially when you enter this restaurant the people that you’re going to find inside (and in significant numbers let me tell you) are kids screaming at each other and whining about a lot of stuff and tired parents who clearly don’t know better about feeding good and nutritious food to their kids. And since the place is small it can be a bit awkward for some people to experience. Speaking of the food it is OK, obviously franchised restaurants have to follow standards and this one follows the standard lawfully and greatly. Not really much to add here. The restaurant overall is fine but certainly looks like it hasn’t seen much renovations since it opened up although its pretty “modern” and as if the cleaning staff was very relaxed, like, the part in which you order your food and the kitchen look perfectly and well equipped but if you remove that the restaurant kind of looks like a building that was abandoned recently. And also this is one of the few Fast Food restaurants here in Cozumel (sadly or gladly depending on your perspective). And we actually are losing some of them, there used to be a McDonalds around the 11th Ave. that closed down, and a SubWay in the Melgar Ave. that got demolished and built over to build an apartment building. There’s only (or at least i can remember) obviously this Burger King, a Carl’s Jr (Hardees (its the same thing)) near the cruise port, a domino’s that’s in front of this Burger King, and a Pizza Hut. In this Burger King they actually have a drive-thru but it looks kinda small, i wonder if anything other than a bike would fit on that. Overall, fine. Pretty normal fast...
Read moreIf you must have an American fast food fix then go here but everything falls way short of what's provided in the US at considerably higher prices. Communication is the worst part really because they never get it correct unless you just go with no changes at all. Leaving stuff off the burgers seems to be a challenge for them. Their large fry is charged as such but contains as few fries as a happy meal elsewhere. Then of course they have the fountain drink machines prominently displayed but if you ask for one, they say it's broken so all they have are lukewarm bottled drinks (I.e. no ice or refills). Fountain drink machine has been out of service at least 5 years - at this point it's just FRAUD to still have it sitting there AS...
Read moreGreat for kids, it’s Burger King, but they’re incredibly slow. The other day it took 30 mins for my food, and it’s super expensive to be that slow. If I wanted to pay 215 for a combo and wait a half hour I would go to an actual restaurant with waiters. Last time it took a half hour, I’d expect it to be hot food. Nope, it was cold. They just let my food sit there cooling off.
Then today, I’m the only person here, and it’s still been over 20 mins and counting. It’s fast food. This is the worst location. They totally missed the concept...
