La Lechoneria — Restaurant in San Miguel de Cozumel

I did not enjoy this place as much as others. For sure the setting is pleasant and the service is gracious. However, I ordered a platter of lechon, the namesake and featured dish, and it was very dry and lacking flavor. I had to continually dip it in the noodle soup served on the side to make it palatable. They did not have the sweet potatoes that the platter was supposed to include and brought me a small portion of plantains instead, which was fine. Beans and rice served with the platter were overly dry as well and clumpy. Maybe they were hastily reheated. The papaya yogurt milkshake we ordered lacked papaya flavor and tasted mostly like plain yogurt. Also service was quite slow, and we were sitting there a long time before the food arrived. Is it possible that most customers don't actually order the featured dish, and they were thrown off when I did so? Why so bland? Prices were fine, but this cafe struck me as all style and...

We were looking for Harry's and found this amazing place next to it! The garden outside is very cute with a fan over one table. It was very helpful in such heat for us and the dog (pet friendly!). I ordered a half order of green chilaquiles with baby pork. There is no other meat hence the name. A half order is huge and it only costs 50 pesos! The most delicious chilaquiles ever! We had freshest juices and great coffee. I am a flat white person and for 40 pesos I have gotten a cup of amazing flat white with almond milk. My friend had great guacamole with grilled pork. You cannot beat the service, the quality of food, and the prices here!...

My husband and I love the taro root with coconut milk frappe, we also enjoyed the golden tacos and the guacamole

The family atmosphere was my favourite part and our server spoke great English and was very knowledgeable about everything they have

I love supporting the family restaurants especially when they serve such incredible food with such fantastic hospitality

This was our first time on the island and we can’t wait to come back to see again!!
