Even after reading the mediocre reviews about this place, I took it with a grain of salt knowing the service is slow but overall I was thoroughly disappointed. When we walked up, the staff straight up told us that there were no seats and to go to the restaurant across the street which I was taken aback by. I should have taken this as a red flag but I told her I was willing to wait because I was convinced the food here would be worthwhile (boy, was I wrong!). She told me it would be at least a 50 minute wait. I figured that was exaggerated considering we were next in line and I saw a few tables closing their tabs out. I was seated within minutes of the alleged “50 minute wait.” No one acknowledged us or took our orders for 15 minutes until we flagged a staff down. After persistently trying to get the attention of any of the many servers we finally got to order our meal, but it was at least another 30+ minutes before we got our food. I noticed that they definitely gave us noticeably bad service as we had to ask for utensils and we never got tortillas to go with my arracherra meal when I noticed all the other tables got tortilla to go with their pasta…. To add, they overcharged us for margaritas by up charging us with Don Julio when we never asked for it. When we tried to explain that we asked for just a regular margarita, the staff could care less and wanted us to pay for something we never requested. Left with no choice, we paid double the price of a margarita that was truly underwhelming. Overall, the food was mediocre at best and truly felt like a tourist trap restaurant. I rarely feel the need to leave a negative review because I try to be understanding but they left a bitter taste in my mouth by trying to upcharge us and what felt like intentionally bad service comparably to other patrons.
As for the food, we ordered arrecherra a la plancha and a traditional Yucatán dish. Both were just meh. For those claiming that this place was delicious has me really doubting whether they have tried more authentic places because I’ve had much better in Playa del Carmen of all places.
Skip this place and go somewhere else where they may care a smidge more about their customers enjoying...

We went to Las Campanas this evening after reading the positive reviews it has received but it turned out to a truly awful experience.
The restaurant was very dirty and the weird (and horrible) pictures of the food that flash across the tv screen in the corner should have been a sign. The food itself was absolutely disgusting. One of the worst meals I can remember having.
We ordered several traditional Yucatecan dishes which we‘ve had elsewhere and have loved but words cannot do justice to how repulsive the food was. The longazina was so dry that you literally couldn’t chew it, the pollo pibil was completely tasteless, the frijoles were like a kind of disgusting metallic soup. The worst thing was the queso relleno which looked like a bowl of dog food with vomit all over it (see picture). Totally appalling. We both left feeling really disappointed and very unwell. Everything had obviously come out of a packet and thrown in the microwave with no care or respect for the customers or for the amazing food of this part of Mexico.
It was so bad that within 5 minutes of the food coming to the table, we had left.
I would absolutely never go to this restaurant and would discourage anyone from going - find somewhere else! This was like an episode of...
Read moreWe went for dinner and ordered Newyork steak which was over priced and the visual of the steak was awful. Half of the meat was fat and not much left to eat. I ordered beef fajitas and it was large portion with everything mixed together. It was the worst fajitas I ever had. I finished only half. It was extremely hot inside the restaurant which made everything not enjoyable. Service was ok We were not very happy about the food and our bill came to 680 pesos. Since we did not have much cash left, we paid with visa. The waiter insisted on mandatory 15% or 18% tip. We told him we will pay cah for the tip. He will not leave our table until he got 15% tip. It left bad taste in our mouth. We will not return to this restaurant.😒
We were excited about our trip to Valladolid and this gives not so good image...
