Oppa Chicken — Restaurant in arrondissement de Tanger-Medina طنجة المدينة

I must admit that I've had some of the most delightful experiences with Korean cuisine at this restaurant! The flavors are incredibly tasty, and I find myself hoping to meet someone from South Korea who can vouch for its authenticity as well.

A dish that I've consistently fallen for is their Chicken Sweet Dakgangjeong, the tenderness of the chicken combined with the sweet and savory notes is absolutely mouth-watering 🤌🏼

I have also tried the Oppa Tteokbokki and the Cheese Rabokki (Rice cake and Rice cake with Ramyeon noodles). Both dishes turned out to be super tasty.

What really enhances the whole dining experience is how friendly and eager-to-help the staff is. They bring this cozy vibe that just makes every visit super chill, and the whole place gives off this vibe like it's a total safe haven, especially for us women. For all the times that i’ve been there, i have always found girls sitting alone, totally comfortable, watching their show while eating🍜

Although I'm pretty happy with everything, i have got a couple of constructive suggestions: 1) Perhaps giving the interior decor a bit more love could totally level up the whole vibe. 2) Also, I couldn't help but notice this extra 5 dirham charge for processed cheese. I'm thinking it wouldn't hurt to think about that again. It'd be better if they had a different cheese option we could go...

We had the Spicy Fried Chicken as well as Ramen with Tteokbokki as well as the Spicy Fried Chicken Burger.

The spicy chicken was honestly amazing, I was absolutely full but it was extremely more-ish for me. I could’ve continued eating and eating it. It was fresh, moist and delicious. It may be TOO spicy for some but if you love spicy food, then you’ll absolutely love it.

The ramen was nice, the flavour was decent but the texture of the rice cakes just wasn’t my personal favourite, I thought they would be more of a chewy texture but as I mentioned that’s definitely a PERSONAL preference. It did seem as though it was packet indomie noodles with their own twist of flavours but I love me some indomie noodles so hey.

The burger was ok, it just lacked texture for me. I would recommend trying a different burger bun as the moisture from the chicken made the bread disintegrate a little bit. Maybe a potato bun or even better brioche would be great.

The customer service was fantastic. The girls were extremely accommodating, smiling faces and were happy to help with anything and everything. 5 gold stars for them!

Overall, a good experience and I’d definitely go back for the Spicy...

Oppa Chicken’s ramen is my absolute favorite! I love the spicy sauce they add and the chicken is just 🤤🤤🤤. It definitely deserves 5 stars for the food alone!

However, I’m giving 4 stars because of a few things: • Service is very slow. It usually takes more than 30 minutes to get your order, and if the place is crowded, it can take almost an hour. Please consider adding more staff during busy hours to speed things up. • The space is tiny and has no windows. The smell of oil and chicken sticks to your clothes after dining in, which makes the experience a bit unpleasant.

Other than that, the food is delicious, and the staff are super friendly and cute. Wishing you the best of luck ! I’ll still be coming back for that...
