The Tajine is not actual Tajine, it's cooked in a pot and then put on a hot ceramic Tajine to make it look like it is, misleading but I guess that's what works best for them. Tourits might be satisfied with it but when you're a local craving that type of delicacy, you feel scammed. Other than that, the chicken with fries tasted good, not as delicious as a real Tajine though. I went there twice on the same day. The second ' Tajine ' was the cooked the same way but more watery and bland. That one wasn't good at all, disappointing. Both meals lacked a great amount of spices. The location is great and very nice! They have a great dinning areas to choose, an alfresco, rooftop, salon and outdoor. The place is so clean and organized! The owner and his son Yahyah is so hospitable and friendly. They entertained us well and accommodated accordingly. The food is well prepared to perfection especially the vegetable cous cous and the lemon & olives chicken tajine is suppered! Authentic moroccan cuisine, if you're a foreigner tourist looking for real tasty moroccan dishes like we make at home this is the adress, good portions authentic tasty and budget friendly. We ate there several times during our stay in chefchaouen (may 2024), and it was good every time.
