A Cozy Spot with Mixed Flavors Dinner at Bistro Laaroussa offers a blend of highs and lows. The setting is a dream - dining in a beautifully decorated, cozy office space right next to a warm fireplace. It sets a charming and intimate ambiance that’s hard to find elsewhere. The staff deserves a round of applause for their remarkable customer service. They were not just accommodating, but went above and beyond by tailoring the menu to our preferences and offering thoughtful recommendations. However, the food was a mixed bag. The squid and salad appetizers, along with the fish entrée, were just okay – nothing memorable. But the couscous? Now that was a delight! It was the standout dish of the evening. In summary, Bistro Laaroussa shines in ambiance and service, but the culinary experience may leave something to be desired. I’d try it again!

Wow what can I say. We arrived in Fes and we were looking for somewhere to eat. We came across Bistro Laaroussa and thought we would try it. We arrived with a reservation and they were kind enough to find a space for us. The rooftop restaurant is an absolute joy, beautifully decorated with a charming ambiance. The staff were professional yet very friendly and welcoming Zach our waiter was lovely and informative. The food was wonderfully prepared and very tasty. We enjoyed it so much we decided to go back the next day for our final nights meal in Morocco. Once again the welcome was friendly and professional. This time our waiter Mustapha was so charming telling about some fascinating details of Fes. The food again was fantastic. We would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Fes. Thank you all for two wonderful nights.

This restaurant is average. Everything I ordered was meh. Risotto had bad consistency, very thick and over cooked, same with crème brûlée. The only delicious thing was mint tea. The stuff is very nice and the location is pretty but the food needs some changes to be nice. Update: after I wrote the review the host suggested to remove the food I didn’t like from the check which is really nice service. Thank you for that!

As requested I will explain why 3 stars. I was looking for something different from the traditional moroccan food and thought that the bistro could deliver it but unfortunately that was not the case. I´ve ordered a salad as a starter and it was simple plain, without any dressing. I also asked for the Red Tuna and i was expecting something very different from what was served. The fish was way to grilled, no color whatsoever and no vegetables as a side dish. Only some strange mayonese that i couldnt figure out what was it. As a dessert, i ordered the apple tart that was served cold and a bit hard. The price was not great too, 55 euros for a couple, price that i can easily pay in Europe. Wouldnt recommend for those looking for...
