We visited Restaurant Fnara in Fez again this year, coming all the way from Denmark after also dining here last year – and once more it was an outstanding experience. It was again a happy coincidence that we ended up here, and a delightful one at that – Fnara has truly become our favorite in Fez.
The food was absolutely delicious. We had the soup to start and a meat tagine as the main dish. The soup was rich in flavor and perfectly seasoned, while the meat tagine was tender, aromatic, and simply unforgettable. In fact, we agreed that this tagine cannot be surpassed – which is why we don’t need to order another meat tagine anywhere else, as nothing could possibly top this one.
The service was just as excellent as the food. The staff were warm, attentive, and welcoming, making us feel at home. The atmosphere is relaxed and authentic, adding to the whole experience.
Prices are very fair, especially considering the high quality of both the food and the service.
We can only recommend Restaurant Fnara wholeheartedly. For us, it has become a must-visit in Fez – and we will surely...
Read moreStumbled on Restaurant Fnara as a young boy encouraged us to visit his mother's restaurant. We were a bit dubious at first as to where we were going but hey ho we're on holiday! We were soon reassured as the restaurant was lovely and busy - very nicely decorated. The welcome was lovely and we were introduced to the mum and sister who did the cooking. We were provided with a lovely starter of bread with different types of dips and tapas. I then had vegetable couscous with caramelised raisins and my husband the kofta meatballs and rice - both were very tasty and so filling. We were both so full we couldn't manage dessert. The service was excellent, the food and ambience great so when a young boy asks you to go to his mum's restaurant slightly off the main alley, don't hesitate as it was well...
Read moreEven we were guided to get there by one local guy(maybe a friend of them) we have had a nice time in this place. With traditional tables, decoration and ambient we enjoyed our dinner. The service was very pure, gentle and nice that we can say everything was fine :) The guys are really good at their English knowledge and they like to have conversation with the clients. They are with sense of humour, gave tips, smiles and good manners. The tea was lovely like everywhere, the starters-salads were very delicious in small plates. The tahini wasn’t very good, the chicken was dry. Even though we are happy we visited Fnara and I wanna say “Bravo” to the tall waiter who was very kind...
