The place is really nice, has AC at the first floor and a terrace like place on top but without any good views. The food was a 50/50 for me. The Harira soup was definitely the best soup I’ve had so far. Finished with some lime juice made me want to order another one. And the price was totally worth it. The vegetable tajin with chicken however was terrible. It smelled like the streets of Fes and I unfortunately after the first bite I decided to not continue eating it, being worried I’d get food poisoning. The fries were really good though, tasted like freshly made not frozen. You should try, maybe I had bad luck with the tajin. The coffee with spices was nice too.

Food was terrible. Service was shocking. Items promised to us before entering weren’t brought to us. It’s obvious that they lied to us to get us sat down. When mentioned to them, the staff became confrontational and aggressive. The fish tagine smelt gone off. The lamb tagine was flavourless. It was more so just a basic stew that tasted like it was a very basic stew made from cheap frozen mixed veg with some lamb chops thrown in. The lamb chops had no flavour of any sort of tagine whatsoever. The only decent thing were the fries which were freshly cut and fried. Despite this lack of quality we thought it’d be safer to just pay the bill and be on our ways, especially with being a tourist in a foreign and unknown country. Upon departure, we made our feelings known regarding the poor quality of food. The owner and his son couldn’t accept the fact that we weren’t satisfied with their poor service and even lower standard of food. They then started to approach us in such an aggressive manner to the extent that the owner’s son pushed one of our group with both hands, as if to initiate a fight. The owner himself then charged at us outside the restaurant on the public footpath with nostrils flared screaming and shouting at us. Understandably we were in fear for our own safety so we tried to diffuse the situation by attempting to walk away as we weren’t sure what these aggressive and potentially psychotic people would do next. It’s evident that they’ve not been trained on any levels of customer service or food hygiene let alone been taught any sort of culinary skills. Avoid this place. Don’t waste your time or money. If you’re in the mood for a fight or to have a live sparring/MMA session, then by all means please visit this psychotic father/son duo’s restaurant. We will definitely not be going back. We felt it necessary to report these two to the local Police for their awareness.

Main problem is the hygiene. Tablecloth was dirty. I can get over that but then they placed the cutlery streight on it. Also the clutery is stored under an open riser staircase. If you can get over this then you can consider this a 3 star review instead. Cheaper than other restaurants I visited. ~40 main dish, ~70 a complete menu and 10 a cola. The food was ok..ish. I don't recommend to get the brouchette dishes. Not that good and they put the souce and maioneese in their package in your dish... c'mon. You either put the souces in the dish or give them to me in their package separately. My wife got a pastilla and was good.

Chez Hamim restaurant in Fes Medina is a fantastic place to eat! Not only is the ambiance great, but the food itself is delicious. I had the pleasure of trying their couscous, and it was simply amazing. The flavors were well-balanced, and the dish was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Fes. Whether you're looking for a memorable dining experience or simply craving some tasty couscous, Chez Hamim is the place to go. Don't miss out on this culinary gem in the heart of the medina!

Good meal at decent price. They offer set menu at 70 dirham (salad/morrocan soup, a main dish and a small fruit platter). The place have multilevel seating. The "rooftop" level gives you view of the alley below and the adjacent building. Service was friendly and not too pushy. Soup is good but I would prefer that it's served hot and not warm. Tajine chicken with lemon is tasty but leaves me feeling very thirsty after the meal. Free WiFi is available. Some of the chairs can be wobbly due to the design of the base. 😅

My first time here was back in 2019. I had couscous on a Friday, and from that day on, I’ve gone for lunch whenever I'm in Fez. The food is very delicious and tastes homemade. They give on the house some side dishes as an entrée (zaalouk, tektouka, olives..), which are super delicious. I’ve tried the couscous, pizza, grilled turkey, mixed grill, chicken tagine and mint tea – all tasted very good. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The place is great, full of art, with a good atmosphere and nice music.
