recently had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant barouk, and I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere, which set the tone for a wonderful meal.
Ambiance: The decor was tasteful and inviting, with a modern yet comfortable vibe. The lighting was just right, creating a relaxed yet elegant ambiance. Whether you’re there for a casual meal or a special occasion, the setting is perfect for both.
Food: The menu at Restaurant barouk offers a variety of dishes that cater to different tastes and preferences. I tried the chicken pesto batbout, and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ingredients were clearly of high quality, and the balance of flavors was impeccable. Their dessert selection was equally impressive; I highly recommend trying their chiken pesto & turkey...
Read moreMy wife and I were tired from a long walking day around the Kasbah and Medina, thinking of maybe getting a takeaway on the way back to our Riad. But, we decided to stop at a place nearby, not expecting much but we were very surprised by this place. Salah is an extremely welcoming and friendly person and the food we had was incredible. I can personally say that I have had one of the best beef dishes in my life here (highly recommend the beef tagine with prunes and almonds) and my wife's avocado batbout sandwich looked like something out of a high-end, luxury restaurant. I highly recommend anyone going here and trying their delicious food. It is worth noting that the prices here are more than affordable and do not break any budgets. Please go and try the food and vibe at Barouk 155. Plus, there are stairs up to a small eating area that overlooks the narrow street and provides a cool,...

We were dealing with a cough that our guide from a day before suggested a great remedy of fresh lime juice and ginger, which of course wasn't on the menu. We asked if they could make it, and without hesitation they said yes and ran across the street to buy both ingredients to make for us! They have a very small dining room upstairs, which is fun to sit by the window and people watch the busy street in front. The pastilla was excellent (better than others we'd had elsewhere) as was the beef tagine. Unfortunately we were too full to try the delicious sounding crepes on the menu; but thankfully the place isn't far from our riad, so we can go back in...
