Riad Dar Sara — Hotel in Marrakesh Prefecture

During my recent stay at Riad Dar Sara, I had mixed experiences that affected my overall impression.

First night: very good (rating: 4/5) My first night at the hotel was in accordance with the overall positive reviews. The room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities were as described. Check-in and check-out were smooth and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied and tasty, providing a good start to the day.

Second night: disturbing nightly rooftop party (rating: 1/5) Unfortunately, my second night was greatly disturbed by a group of drunk guests who suddenly built a noisy party on the rooftop terrace at 1am. After waiting patiently for 1 hour, I contacted the hotel by phone. I was told that they were going to "send" someone. This means there is no guardian or he did not care about the problem. After waiting another 1 hour, the problem was finally solved.

I understand that the real cause of this problem was the rudeness and selfishness of the other guests. But the lack of response from management to an obvious nuisance situation is disappointing and unacceptable. Therefore, I cannot currently recommend the hotel unless improvements are made in how such situations are handled. You can 100% expect what Riad Dar Sara promotes on pictures and text- this riad was the first and last stop of our roadtrip through morocco and a perfect place to rest or to go to the medina.

Location: It is really quiet here - you can recharge your energy after exploring the medina. It is at the very beginning of the medina - it takes 10 minutes to reach the souks. If you ask me: brillant!

Rooms & Riad: Clean, beautiful, arabic style. You will enjoy the pool on hot days! They also organized a Hamman at the hotel: we enjoyed the privacy but this is the only thing I would do at one of the many Spas outside - as they also look nice (nevermind it was a good experience). The rooms are the size that is needed with 2 suitcases - they are decorated with love- 100% enjoyable with air condition. Also the breakfast is rich and a to eat - you won‘t master this.

Service: It is hard to describe the kindness of the whole team at Riad Dar Sara - everyone wants you to have a good experience and is so helpful and kind. It is not a huge riad and you can tell it by the way they treat every guest with so much interest and warm character. Thank you! Also we got a really early breakfast as our flight took off early- so much cooperation.
