What an evening at Chez Cherif! Thanks to the incredibly sharp woman managing the service like a pro, we managed to get a table. In a split second, she noticed that her neighbor was trying to lure us to his tables while we were checking out her menu. Once we realized we were about to end up in the wrong restaurant, she stepped in immediately and made sure we got a spot. What a legend!

I went for a Moroccan salade and the Chicken tajine with lemon, but I have to admit, I was a bit envious of the Françaises next to me, who was being treated to an endless flow of vegetarian delights. Luckily, that didn’t last long—my salad arrived in five delicious bowls with fresh bread, a meal in itself! My husband opted for the Mixed skewers, super tasty, but my Chicken lemon tajine was next level. It’s officially my favorite dish now. OMG, the flavor!

Despite the Business, we even got treated to a lovely dessert. Chez Cherif is not just a place with fantastic food, but it’s run by a woman who truly knows what hospitality means. You need to check this place out!

What a gem in the middle of the medina. I saw some good comments about this place, decided to give it a try and was not disappointed.

They have a good amount of tables but they are always busy. When I went there, there were some people waiting but the owner literately picked some tables for them.

The food was very nice, the mix of salads was a good surprise, everything was delicious. Good amount of food for a cheap price, it was almost too much food. I liked the food so much that also got a dessert and the flan was also delicious.

You eat facing the street so it can be a bit stressful but the food is worth it. It was also nice to see a strong woman run the place and arrange everything herself, paying attention to details that the waitress did not.

Service was fast and friendly. Different than in other places they don’t waste time asking “where are you from”, they were not invasive with us at all and they treated everybody the same.
