We happened to stumble upon this beauty as we were done shopping in the Medina and wanted a bite on the way back to our Riad. Breathtaking as you walk in, it doesn't feel like you are in the craziness of Marrakech. Feels tropical!
We arrived at 9:30pm, and were hoping that by just ordering a main dish and a glass of wine that we could be done fairly quickly with enough time to go back to our hotel and pack to leave for Paris the next morning.
Our server comes over with his iPAD/tablet of some sort to take our order. I was rather impressed by this and was thinking how efficient it was. I ordered the Lamb Mechoui, and my boyfriend ordered the Beef Entrecote, medium well, with potatoes and a side of each of the sauces, as he couldn't decide. We try some local red wine. Food is coming out to many tables around us, and we start to get that sullen look. It's now 10:15, and no word. We wave the server over, he apologizes for the delay. Then about 10-15 later he comes back to tell me that they no longer have the lamb, they ran out. Great, we are starved. I quickly order the stuffed chicken with tapenade (I had so much tagine on this trip, I was starting to look like a clay pot (the bottom side)). A manager comes over and apologizes again, offering us another round of wine and tells us there is a glitch in the computer and my order had never gone through.... :( Zero patients...ly waiting, food finally arrives, it's 11pm, we are red in the face and woozy.... the bfs' steak is too pink throughout, and he sends it back. The server tries to argue that it is how they make medium well steak. Well, it's shouldn't be dripping juice at 150F. Not that I'm a chef or anything. (I am btw). My chicken is overcooked and the tapenade tastes off, but I was ready to gnaw on my arm, so I ate most of what I could. Bf ate the potatoes, which were much like severely under seasoned mashed potatoes they forgot to drain. Bleh. His steak comes back, he eats it. The manager apologizes for the third time. The server comes back as we settle the bill and asks what else he could do. We really just want to get home, could he maybe find us a taxi or walk us to one? It can get rather confusing in the Medina. No, he can't. Rather, he points a few directions and says, when you walk several blocks out, walk til there's a wall, and then there should be a taxi. I'd like to walk him into a wall, it's almost midnight....
Btw, when we took off for Paris in the morning, I had the absolute worst case of food poisoning. It was perhaps the worst 24 hours of my life. I hadn't eaten anything other than the dinner, and perhaps it was the chicken??...

Everything about this place is so amazing I almost want to keep it a secret….. as soon as we walked in, we were awe-struck by the beautiful garden setting: orange and banana trees all around, candlelight, soft music. Quite the contrast to the hectic and noisy streets of Marrakesh!
The whole staff were very kind and attentive from the moment we walked in. Our waiter was absolutely amazing and made us feel relaxed and taken care of. The food and drinks did not disappoint either - everything we had was fantastic and presented very well. Highly recommend the eggplant starter, stuffed chicken, and spicy monkfish. The chocolate fondant was probably the best I’ve had in my life.
Finally, unlike at other well-rated places in Marrakesh, we weren’t rushed to finish by a certain time, so we were able to enjoy a long and relaxed dinner at this beautiful place.
After 2 weeks in Marrakesh and trying multiple top-rated restaurants, this was my absolute favourite dinner spot, it’s a...
Read moreIt was burning outside like 30 degrees and such big crowds of tourist were stucking the streets and i saw that La table du Palais was very near of my location. I literally run there to take a breathe. Omg! So relieving! Feels like heaven. It looks like all birds also decided to live here instead of the Medina streets. An amazing quick bite (mini chicken pastilla) and prange juice just refreshed me. I cannot appreciate more than this for this place and its beautiful service. Julian and his team are amazing and so kind and careful with their guests and service. About food; chicken pastilla for starter would be quite filling if you will continue eating. I was so jealous with the table next to me, because the amazing smell of their tajin came all the way to my table and i regret that i didnt order it :)) still im more than glad with my mini Pastilla as it was sooo delicious. But next time will be back for dinner. Thank you so much for giving me this coziness and showing your...
