Café Mouassine — Restaurant in Marrakesh Prefecture

The absolute worst ‘restaurant’ I’ve ever been to. Not only was the food terrible but when my wife kindly asked the waiter about the extra charge on the bill, the manager came out and began very aggressively yelling and quickly escalating into screaming at her. We both attempted to refrain from further argument and agreed to pay whatever the charge was just so he would stop. But this did not work, he continued to berate my wife, calling her a ‘bad wife’ while pacing the street, screaming on the to of his lungs in front of his customers and passers-by’s. We were then told we could only pay by cash after asking before we ordered if we could pay by card. After some further argument they brought out their eftpos machine and we got out of this place, All the while the owner was still yelling at us. Do not bother with this so called restaurant. Try Le Jardin or any other cafe nearby, where the food is better and the owners are nice to...

I left yesterday a good review for this restaurant and we came back today for lunch. When we went to pay, they first told us there is an additional 10% for service which is ludicrous and then the server told us that HE doesn’t take card when yesterday night we did without any problem. We literally didn’t have enough cash, so after a few minutes he finally let us paid with card.

Avoid this place!

I ordered cuscus beef and it was a huge disappointment. The dish consisted of a small amount of meat and a massive bone piece. The food was flavorless and a massive letdown. We provided feedback about the dish, which was essentially cuscus with a bone. The head chef was extremely rude and behaved arrogantly towards us. We expressed our feedback politely. We cannot recommend this place to anyone.

The food was ridiculously expensive considering its quality and taste.
