added: To add to the insult, you charged me twice on my credit card. See picture.
You made a mistake by giving me chicken instead of fish in the Nepali rice set.
I don’t eat chicken. So it’s okay if you replace it but i then realized none of you knew whether it was chicken or fish that you were delivering. So I asked for paneer in replacement of the fish just to be safe… then the disaster began…
You told me there was no paneer. But minutes later, it turned out that there was paneer and you came back and said it would result in an extra charge. Indeed, the paneer set would be 100NPR more. So I expected to pay 100 NPR more. And then came the worst moment — You ended up requesting 250NPR more for the additional paneer dish. Mind you — I didn’t touch the chicken and you took it back!
It’s not a lot of money, but it was your mistake! And you were asking me for more money for your mistake???? What kind of restaurant is this? Your ruin your own business.
*to respond to your reply: 1 I asked for the manager; 2 it’s not that I didn’t like the fish. I didn’t even know if you were serving me fish. Neither did your waiters - they couldn’t tell. I had a bite and It tasted awful (I eat fish almost everyday). Because I can’t eat chicken and you could not confirm, I asked for paneer as a replacement. To me it was your mistake and you should have corrected it instead of imposing additional costs on me - no matter how little. Yes 250NPR was nothing at all. It’s the way your team managed...
Read moreHonestly, this was the best meal we have had in Nepal. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable yet elegant. The staff were super attentive and clearly cared about the food and drink provided and our experience of it (with no shady upsell.) I had a native Nepali red wine you would not believe. Shades of Pinotage with a bit of Oregon Pinot Noir and something else I can't define. And the food. This is where fusion wins. Everything was incredibly tasty from appetizer to dessert. With such attention to balance and technique. I couldn't fault it. Even the Nepali pepper sauce that came with my yak cheese fritters was so good (unfortunately I am a lightweight when it comes to heat and it set me on fire....but I tried again because the flavor was soooo good! LOL.) (I know this is weird to say about a restaurant but the bathroom...
