I can truely recommend to stay at Laxmi homestay with the host Navin. It is perfectly located in front of the entrance of the Durbar square and the view from the roof top is great. Navin welcomes you like a friend and was very happy to show me and another guest around in the city and surroundings, spent time with us for a hike and shared his richness of knowledge regarding Nepalese culture and spirituality. Had a lovely stay at laxmi homestay. The place is next to durbar square and from the rooftop you have a beautiful view. On clear days you can even see the mountain range!

The owner really makes you feel at home and part of the nepali culture. He can tell you everything about the city and I even got invited to celebrate with him and his friends/family dashain festival.

This homestay has everything you need, but Navin makes your stay worthwhile. He was keen to help me with anything I needed and the took me around all the town telling me different little stories as we went.

His ancestors have lived in this town for a long time as furniture craftsmen so Bhaktapur is in his blood. Really nice person to hang round with.
