Mak Mak Restaurant — Restaurant in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

Lovely ambiance and good (not too spicy) Thai food; the staff however, seem a little frazzled and ill-equipped to handle larger crowds and a full house of customers. Although this may be because the restaurant just opened up, there were some misplaced orders and errors in the billing.

The “live show” of the chefs cooking and plating your food makes up for the delay in service though! They have a separate full vegetarian menu which you may need to request beforehand.

Highly recommend the tom kha soup, and the som tam is also very flavorful :)

Although parking is available, big cars might have some trouble...

The restaurant offers ample parking, which is definitely a plus. I was impressed with the quality of the food, it’s clear that attention is paid to ingredients and preparation. However, I felt the pricing was a bit on the higher side for what was offered.

The ambiance could be improved to feel warmer and more inviting.

Also, while the staff was attentive, their constant attention felt a little intense at times, which made the experience slightly uncomfortable. A bit more balance in service would enhance the overall dining...

A really nice area, peacefull location with good friendly staff. The price of the food is really expensive. Do checkout their menu beforehand. Drinks are okay for the price and nice too. For starters had fried pork which was really really well cooked and nice flavours. The soup which we had was just so well balanced and soo good. That is really recomened. The pad thai was a disapointment. No flavours but the portion was nice and felt really expensive. Would recommend for a good fine...
