We visited this restaurant in Bouddha around 7 in the evening. The place was quite busy, and we were asked to wait for a table. After waiting for about 15 minutes, we finally got a table and ordered two plates of Thulo Momo.
Then we had a very disappointing experience. We waited for over 45 minutes after placing our order, but our food never arrived. During that time, we noticed that other customers who came after us were being served. We politely asked the waiter several times about our order, but most of the time he simply ignored our questions and did not bother to respond.
After 45 minutes of waiting with no communication or apology, we decided to leave. When we went to the counter to express our concern, the person there also ignored us, which was extremely frustrating.
I completely understand that the restaurant was busy and that delays can happen, but what made this experience unacceptable was the lack of basic communication and courtesy. A simple explanation or apology would have made a big difference. For such well-known restaurant like Thulo Momo, this level of ignorance toward customers is very disappointing.
I hope the management looks into this and improves their customer service, because no matter how good the food might be, respect and communication are what keep customers coming back.
Note: I have given 1 star also for the food which might be wrong but I couldn't taste as my order never arrived. But after such service, even if my food had arrived, I wouldn't...
Read moreI recently visited Thulo Momo in Boudha with my mom and sister. The restaurant had a welcoming ambiance, and we were excited to try their offerings. We ordered Keema Noodles, Pork Thulo Momo, and Chicken Momo.
The Keema Noodles were flavorful but slightly on the salty side. However, the presentation and the accompanying materials, such as condiments and cutlery, were well-arranged, adding to the dining experience. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Pork Thulo Momo. It was bursting with juicy flavors, perfectly cooked, and left a lasting impression. It is easily the best item we tried and something I would highly recommend to others.
Unfortunately, the Chicken Momo fell short of expectations. It lacked the distinctive taste and texture that would have made it stand out. It felt underwhelming compared to the pork option.
Additionally, while the jhol achar and tamatar achar were decent, they could benefit from more refinement in flavor. Enhancing these accompaniments would elevate the overall experience, as they play a crucial role in complementing the momos.
Overall, Thulo Momo has great potential with its standout dishes like the Pork Momo, but a few improvements could make it...
