DURBAR CAFE — Restaurant in Lalitpur Metropolitan City

A mediocre restaurant in the premises of Patan Durbar Sqaure. One of the pros of visiting here is the rooftop seating to enjoy the view of Patan Durbar Square, especially recommended to visit in the evening with it's subtle lighting and comfortable chairs. Food here is slightly on the expensive side for it's value as it's neither very delicious nor appealing enough. It might be a good place for 2-4 people but there is no couch to seat on or no proper place for large gathering of friends. Service is also mediocre and there the place itself isn't well decorated or appealing enough. Also, I wouldn't recommend this place for people to go on a date as there is no any private seating available so you might not like being constantly looked upon by someone else. Privacy isn't very great.

Overall, a mediocre place with nice rooftop seating, window side seating to look outside, but lacks on the food department, ambience, visuals, mediocre service,privacy(If it matters to you)and lack of proper seating for more...

The view was nice. That was the one redeeming quality, though. Ordered food at 6 (momos, plain rice, soup, and the Nawari Thali) . At 6:45 told us that they cannot make momos after all, sorry. At 7:15, they finally brought the thali. None of it was fresh/warm.i know that this kind is served cold, but this is like they cooked it and then waited for it to get cold to give it to me, it took so long. After another 20 minutes, the soup came. The rice never came (though they tried charging us for that and the momos...always check yiur receipt!).

If they can't make momos, ok, but they can tell us that less than 45 minutes after we ordered them! The food that came seemed old/from earlier, but took over an hour to come; and soup took an hour and 45 minutes!

It was totally disappointing. I will never visit this place again. Me and my friend ordered chicken and veg manchurian and we totally regret ordering there. It was tasteless. Chicken tasted raw, even though it was well cooked. You know the kind of taste you get with raw chicken. You get good view of Patan durbar square but because of bad food, the experience was horrible. Visit this place at...
