Extremely disappointed in that place. I had high hopes with all the good reviews and the pictures but it's so deceiving.
Don't get me wrong, the restaurant is amazing: loads of sitting area, ideal for groups, private for couple or solo. The chairs are confortable, the view is great and the selection on the menu is amazing.
Vegan and vegetarian are going to be in heaven has every item on the menu is clearly detailed and you know exactly which animal product is in the meal. There is a vegan page that helps you change on item on a plate for a substitute. It's genius.
However, my food wasnt good. The hummus had no taste. It had a good texture but not depth. There was no flavor/acidity/kick. I had to put salt many time in my hummus to get some flavor.... It makes no sense. In my combo I had a dip which was suppose to be a flavorful, spicy, slow cooked tomato sauce... It was literally cut up, cold, flavorless tomatoes.
The vegan banana Lassi was tasty, rich and creamy which is the reason I'm giving another star..
My review might sound harsh but I was looking forward to an Israeli/Middle East restaurant to get a delicious hummus dish but I would have had better at a local...
Read moreGreat and healthy Israeli food, very diverse menu items all the way from basic salads to Hummus, Jachnoon. They also have nice drinks, with a good variety of cocktails, although a bit on the expensive side compared to other places around in Pokhara. The REALLY painful thing with this place isn't about the food itself, it's about the staff. The waiters here take their time to do the simplest tasks, like when asking for a glass of water, you could easily sit around for a solid 5-10 minutes before getting it. Another example of the awful service, is after ordering the Fatush Salad I've been having here for the past few days, last time it came without ita olive oil and lemon dressing, when asking the waiter for the dressing he argued that the salad comes without one (btw, the dressing appears on the menu).
In conclusion, thr food and drinks are amazing here (hence the 5 star rating). As a one-time experience, you probably wouldn't mind the bad service here, as it is not much different than most of Pokhara, I would just expect them for a marginally better experience for the marginally...
Read moreFavourite place in Nepal. My friend and I spent many hours here in March 2018, 2 nights in a row (movie night, and their 3rd anniversary night). By far the most crowded place in Pokhara on the 2 nights we were there, but still super chill, and extremely attentive and friendly staff. Great job even though they are super busy. My friend loved the mojito; consistent and just the right amount of mint, sour, and alcohol. Daiquiri could be better. We love the focaccia bread that came with the or2k platter. Oily and buttery. We could eat the focaccia on its own. Hot chocolate wasnât great, could be more chocolatey, but the accompanying cadbury squares saved the drink.
From our amazing experience in or2k Pokhara, we had high hopes for the Kathmandu branch. Tip: donât even bother going to the original restaurant in Thamel. though people did warn us Pokhara is way...
