Pokhara Mountain Tiger outdoor adventure (p.) Ltd. — Attraction in Pokhara

Embarked on a 10 day Annapurna circuit trek with Pokhara mountain tiger and our private porter/guide named Buddhiman. We shopped around to a couple different agencies and had a great experience with their office. The team walked us through an itinerary and discussed our questions and concerns about the trek. Our guide Buddhiman was cheerful and helpful throughout the trek. He was informative about the flora and nature as well as easy to chat with. At the same time he also gave us space and time to enjoy the scenery in silence. Each morning he walked us through our upcoming mileage and what to expect and the route we were taking. As with any adventure, bumps are to be expected, but with his help talking with local bus drivers and tea house owners we sorted things out. Most importantly he prioritized and was always aware of our safety. He would would notice when we were getting tired and frequently checked for signs of altitude sickness. On one of the days, we wanted to continue hiking as winds started to pick up. He recommended hunkering down in a tea house that ultimately was the right call as little dust tornados swept by the trail. Have just returned from a trek with Pokhara Mountain Tiger, which is based in the very pleasant Lakeside district of the city (of Pokhara) It was my second trekking holiday with this company. I just had to go back,as it is such a memorable experience. Lots of laughs, lots of hard trekking. I am 68 so we had quite a few little rests! We trekked for 5 days and Neema planned our routes according to how I was feeling. As a solo female traveller it was very reassuring to have someone accompanying me who has a very comprehensive knowledge of not only the mountains but also where to stay, organizing transport and a multitude of other things. I recently trekked the Annapurna Circuit with Pokhara Mountain Tiger and can wholeheartedly recommend them as a company. The guides are AMAZING - so friendly and fun, but at the same time professional and very experienced. There was a lot of snow before we crossed the pass and they were very careful to ensure conditions were safe before we proceeded. The company is owned by the guides themselves (who all grew up in the Himalayas) and so the money you pay goes directly to the local community, cutting out any middle man.
