I can only speak to the yoga here and it is unfortunate to say but was a total disappointment. The class titled Awakening Flow was NOT a flow by any standard and in fact almost put me to sleep. I have never in my 15 years of practice wanted to leave the room 20 mins into the session. I typically never write such criticism but this is NOT yoga. After also coming back for a second class, giving it a second chance, a SECOND time explaining to the teacher that I was looking to MOVE and energize, there was no delivery whatsoever. As a yoga teacher myself, in my own humble opinion, my sole responsibility is to look at the people in the room, be present to them, see their ability or how they're moving at the beginning and offer what is needed which did not happen for either class that I showed up for being the only student. Definitely won't be wasting my money here. Please go for yoga somewhere else, perhaps Kathmandu! Umbrella Cafe, please rename your classes so that people know exactly what is being offered and perhaps a description because as it stands,...

practice yoga, get a massage, participate in ecstatic dance, buy second hand clothing and trinkets, and donate items no longer useful to oneself (such as trekking gear), and a lot more.
I only noticed this because I found myself in this cafe for hours at a time - my only complaint is that the downstairs seating in front of the bar, in my experience, wasn't very ergonomic, as the tables were much lower than the benches, which themselves did not have any...
Read moreCurrently they have an artist, Diana from England, doing dreadlocks, hair wraps, braids, and tarot reading here! I did two hair wraps with 3 silver pieces on it. Each hair wrap costs just 400rs(the silver pieces are not included. They are extra 100rs each). I’ve done hair wraps before but never had one as pretty! It’s fairly priced, detailed, beautiful and you can pick 5 colors for each wrap! I love the final work so much so I decided to share it here. There are some other photos of her dreadlocks works for other guests, which all look fantastic:) On the other note, food here is good too. I had a big bowl of Russian Borscht...
