Al Argentino Steakhouse — Restaurant in Amsterdam

My wife and I were examining the menu on the outside the door. Francis came out and invited us in for dinner. Sounded good to us, so he sat us in the back room where we proceeded to examine the menu on the inside. We ordered a malbec rose from Argentina, that was delightful. We both ordered the Parrillada (Combination platter) for dinner and in short order our meal was served. (See the attached photo) The corn was great, the salad was salad. The Steak was pretty good, the ribs were great, and the chicken was probably the best chicken I have had in years. The service was excellent, and it felt like we had come in as family members that had finally been able to come up for a visit. It was a lovely time that we had, and I only wish we could have had the time to come back for some more during our visit...

Absolutely Delicious! As a couple of Australian tourists trying to make heads or tails of menus written in other languages, Francis at Al Argentino made us feel so welcome and comfortable.

The Garlic butter and warm bread to start was fantastic, followed by shrimp, avocado and a delicious whiskey sauce which my partner raved about.

Finally, an assortment of Argentina's finests beef cuts, sauce, fries and onion rings accompanied by an assortment of beer, lovely wines and cocktails.

Over-all an awesome experience, fantastic service and full bellies all round. It reminded me that sometimes the convenience of home delivery food pales in comparison to a good meal and...

I ordered Ribeye steak. Medium portion by grams. Was a touch undercooked but that was fine. Much better than overcooked. Very generous portion of Vegetables that were delicious. With two beers it came to 60 Euros. When I asked for bill he said tip was not included. Thinks I’m average dumb American. Tipping line never on CC receipt. So he’s asking upfront. Service was good so I said 66 Euros which is about right 10% in Europe for good service but totally voluntary. And you can’t do it on CC unless you ask for it upfront.
