This was recommended to us by a friend so we were super excited to try it! Literally arrived in Amsterdam and went here straight away from the Central Station.

The food was okay.

Halfway through my meal I found some hair on my plate so I did not finish it.

I asked for the bill from a waiter and when he brought it I pointed out that there was some hair in my food. He replied: "Tbh, I don't care. I am happy to take it off your bill but I have to check with my manager." So I just said sure. My intention wasn't to have it removed from my bill that's why I had asked for the bill without pointing it out beforehand.

He went and spoke with the manager a lady with very long hair and heavy makeup. And even though not understanding the language and what was communicated it was very clear from her tone, body language and facial expression she wasn't happy. He came back and told us that she refused to take it off the bill because I have eaten the food.

I plainly told him that I will pay for it. I only pointed it out because it is a matter of hygiene. Being an experienced hospitality worker myself, my issue with them isn't the just the hair but how they dealt with the situation. It would have sufficed if they had apologize sincerely which they didn't and we were met with such hostility when leaving the restaurant.

For the price, quality of food & service we paid. This place deserves 1 star. It definitely has potential if they are more mindful with their hygiene and train the staffs better.
