We came here a few times — a calm, friendly spot just across from Amsterdam Centraal Station that’s incredibly convenient if you’ve got a train to catch. It’s easy to find and perfect for a relaxed breakfast or a casual brunch before exploring the city.
The team working there were warm and efficient — friendly smiles, quick service, and they never made me feel rushed despite the steady stream of people coming in. My pancakes arrived sooner than I expected, piping hot and nicely presented. The menu has a good range of choices, including protein-friendly options (think extra eggs or savory choices) and clearly marked gluten-free alternatives, which I appreciated as someone traveling with dietary preferences. The portions are satisfying without being overwhelming, and they pair nicely with a well-brewed cup of coffee.
The atmosphere is welcoming and laid-back — light, cozy seating and a gentle buzz of conversation that makes it a nice place to linger. It’s also family-friendly, with menu items that appeal to kids and adults alike. If you’re in a hurry, they do handle takeaway swiftly, which is convenient given the station location.
One practical note: because of how convenient it is, especially for travelers arriving or departing from the station, the place fills up quickly — particularly on weekend mornings and during tourist season. If you want a quieter experience or a guaranteed table, come early or aim for a late-afternoon snack time. That said, turnover is decent, and the staff manage the flow well, so wait times aren’t usually too long.
Overall, a relaxing and reliable spot for pancakes in a prime location. Friendly service, tasty options for different diets, and a cozy vibe make it worth a visit — just plan for crowds and come early if you want a guaranteed table. Highly recommended for a casual, delicious pit stop by...
Read morePancakes were okay but unfortunately the experience was completely ruined by a very rude male employee .After waiting 24 minutes ( time verified by the mentioned employee without any solicitation from me ) my Americano that had been brought straight away when the order was made, was obviously cold, when the food was brought to our table. I asked politely if my coffee could be reheated because it was cold after the wait. This was not a complaint, it was simply a request. The employee took it personally and was very defensive, rude and loud.Started by raising an eyebrow and passing his hand around the cup, implying that the drink was not in fact cold…I think any person with half a brain understands that a coffee after 24 minutes will became cold. Apparently this person does not agree and started arguing with me and my husband, checking (unsolicited I’ll mention again) on his ordering device that we had “only” arrived and ordered 24 minutes ago so the drink should be fine ? I told him I was not complaining about the waiting time ,just asking for my drink to be reheated but if it was a problem it was fine. The waiter continued to discuss the matter and saying we should have asked for the drink not to be served straight away…in my opinion the person that took the order knows better than us how long the service takes and should have asked if I wanted the coffee served with the food. This was all a very uncomfortable exchange exacerbated by the rude tone and body language used to “speak” ( argue rather) for us and for both couples sitting next to us. This person very clearly is not cut out for interaction with customers, lacks totally customer service skills, which I felt the need to point out and advised him on changing his occupation. Sorry about the long text, it’s so so rare that I leave bad reviews, but had...
Read moreThis is the worst price/serving i have ever seen, a pancake with anything is around 20€. You basically order a pancake with a bunch of stuff on and all you get is a strawberry on an UNROLLED pancake (you have to role it yourself) with so little toppings that i'd rather take a dump on top of the pancake just so it would look less miserable. You can get a better pancake for 1,5€ don't go to this place, ITS A SCAM
REPLY TO THE OWNER:
I have ate a lot of pancakes all over the world. And i can confidently and with experience say that this IS the biggest dissapointment of a sweet meal that i have ever had. Not just that you are being explicit about the "fresh" ingredients that made your pancake taste the same ad any other pancake you are also trying to reason the fact that what you serve is worth the 20€ when its clearly not worth more than 4€. Anyone can make better pancakes than yours, matter of fact any other pancakes that me and my friends spotted in other parts of Amsterdam were better than your pancakes. And talking about quality, you are making your pancakes (kitchen) right next to your VERY UNSANITIZED toilets downstairs, do i get some of that quality aswell?
It definitely is a scam, it is not a subjective opinion but the fact that nothing is different, nothing about your way of making it makes it special or worth the money. You could be ashamed of your offers and the prices that you set.
Also i am not the only one thinking this, a man behind us ordered pancakes with bacon on top. What he got was a thin pancake with 3 bacon pieces on it, the price? 20€.
You want some actual good pancakes? Check out "La Creperie Cheri" and learn from them. And "roll" it in your stupid way, but DON'T LIE to customers and claim that your pancakes are worth more than a sack...
