Bagels & Beans — Restaurant in Amsterdam

One of the worst bagels and beans I’ve been to. The service was really bad, it took forever for someone to take our order, and they only came as one of us addressed them. The server was a bit confused while taking the order. When our drinks came the girl only looked at her colleagues and was laughing with them, putting the drinks down in on spot, not asking us who had what, didn’t say anything and walked away…. It took quiet long for the Bagel to come even though we were the only ones who ordered, then the bagel came and it was completely torn up. Not very nice. People kept leaving the door open and the service would just leave it open, ignoring it even though it was only 2 degrees out. The toilet had no more toilet paper or soap and was absolutely nasty. I do not recommend going here. Over all the food is good for the price, but the service was absolutely rancid, more busy making jokes than working hard, not cleaning the tables or...

My partner and I visited a Bagels & Beans on a recent trip to Amsterdam. We had watched. YouTube video on ‘gluten free’ restaurants in Amsterdam and this was one of them!

We initially were going to dine in, however, after sitting at a table for around 10 minutes with no one around to take our order, we decided to get take out instead.

I had a gluten free bagel with cream cheese and my partner had a bagel with chive cream cheese. It was about a 15 minute wait for our bagels (longer than I would expect, but they were relatively busy).

The bagels were LOADED with cream cheese. I was also very impressed with the quality of the GF bagel, probably the best one I’ve ever had.

Writing this for my daughter: We ordered hot chocolate which is very presented with hot milk in a glass mug and chocolate chips on ther side in a small ramekin. The only problem was there was cream cheese in the bottom of the ramekin. So they either do not wash dishes after use or check them properly. The bagel was average. We ordered dessert and it was not too par as the apple pie was frozen on the inside. This indicates they obviously do not make their desserts or at least these before serving. On top of the terrible food the staff were telling at each other. Definitely not worth the money, crowd or poor service. ...
