Almost empty on a Saturday evening, that sound a bell already when we entered. After the dinner, that completely make sense.
Ordered ijwit tap beer, waitress came back and said beer finished, she tried to tap but no more. Keg finished or doesnt want to change a new one? We have no clue.
Food wise is disastrous. Ordered a fish and chips. Frankly speaking, Mcdonald’s fillet O fish taste much better. Chips are so salty as well which you need to stop eating after a certain point. Capaccio looks so….sad.
After we finsihed our meal and drink, another waiter came and start clearing our table, without even asking us do we want more drinks or dessert ( well we didnt aak the the bill yet). What is more, he even ask me to pass him my glass to the other side of the table so he can clear more dish on one go !?
Oh did i mention already the restarant is completely empty? Ans they had 5 staffs on duty?
Well if you want some decent food there are loads of choices around the corner/ street. Price wise its slightly above the normal amsterdam price. 18.5 for a fish and chips and 34.5 for a rib rye steak with such quality and service?
Just avoid...

Rating: ★★★★☆ (4.5/5)
Morlang Café is a delightful spot nestled along one of Amsterdam’s most beautiful canals. With over 40 years of history, this place perfectly blends charm, casual elegance, and great food.
The ambiance is what draws you in first—warm and relaxed with lovely views of the canal, especially if you grab a table by the window or sit outside. It’s perfect for brunch with friends or a low-key dinner.
The food here is consistently good. The menu offers a solid mix of seasonal dishes and comfort favorites. I personally recommend the avocado fries and any of their risottos—flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. The portions are just right, and the plating is simple yet appealing.
Service is generally friendly and professional, though it can be a bit slower during peak hours—but nothing that ruins the experience.
If you’re looking for a cozy canal-side restaurant that delivers quality food with a laid-back vibe, Morlang is an excellent pick.
Would I go again? Definitely. It’s the kind of place you can keep coming back to and always...
Read moreWhat a disappointment my visit to Restaurant Morlang in Amsterdam was. This establishment shows absolutely no respect for its customers. The food was downright awful; it seemed like the dishes had been prepared days ago and reheated. Tasteless, uninspired, and lacking any culinary finesse.
The service was equally disastrous. The staff was uninterested and rude, clearly not enjoying their work. It felt like we were a burden just by being there. Our questions were met with sighs, and our orders were carelessly thrown onto the table.
It's evident that this place caters solely to tourists who will never come back. Local customers are completely ignored, and it seems they don't care if anyone has a good experience. This is not a restaurant that takes pride in what it serves or how it treats its guests.
In short, avoid Restaurant Morelang like the plague. There are plenty of great dining options in Amsterdam that know how to treat their customers and serve delicious food. Save yourself the frustration and find a better place to...
