Bagels & Beans — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Some of the best BLT bagels Ive had the privilege to breakfast on in my long career of BLT scrutinizing, I dont know what they do with the sauce but it is really not at all hard to eat it without making a mess of things, and the bacon is fried with such precision that I can still recall the taste some years later. The staff seems a family of sorts, and it has a good kind of Amish friendliness, a safe place for your psyche to rest while feasting on valuable nutrients. They are very correct and I usually give them some big tips without them knowing it, because I am quite rich and they really work very hard. The barbershop across the street is a strange place, I tried to get a shave after I had breakfasted and the young man who sat me down with a lot of bravoura and asked what he could do for me turned out to not know how to shave a client. I got a haircut instead but it was as expensive as five breakfasts and it all left me a bit confused, though with some extra gel in my hair I didnt look too bad the rest of the day although I did nuance the coupe with my own babybliss the next morning because I was meeting some clients from Singapore and these people...

If you live for bagels and breakfast drinks and don't stop by here you are seriously missing out. My wife and I love this location especially because it's out of the center. So tourists if are wandering in the neighborhoods you may get that lost tourist vibe but not to worry, they can clearly speak in English and have menus in it as well. On the weekends it's a little family hang out spot (be prepared for lots of little toddlers). Last but not least of course the bagels are amazing,the juices are fresh, and cappuccinos were the first my Italian wife gave two thumbs up for in the city. Dining in is highly suggested but they have great environment friendly take away...

Breakfast isn’t the Dutch “fuerte” but this place is a safe bet when it comes to easy coffee and friendly service. It’s a chain so it might not be as cozy as other more coffee specialized tents but they offer a wide variety of bagels and smoothies next to their coffee. Plus, they are friendly towards people working. Plenty of workspace available in the less busy times. Always coming back.

Edit: the new menu is a downgrade… all my favorite bagel options are gone. Unfortunately I am taking away a star.. recently, I’ve been going there mostly for the cakes and coffee rather...
