We went with a group of friends and the service was friendly but odd. Firstly they refused to serve tap water. And if you want water you have to order a bottle. All of my friends were ordering beer so it wasnt like we were trying to skate by on free drinks but refusing to serve tap water out of a perfectly safe tap is ridiculous. They also dont have a single veggie only dish, so when I asked for a side of steamed or stir-fried veggies the waiter looked at me like I had ten heads and said, "yeah, that's not possible." Even when I begged for just the veggies that go in the other dishes just on the side he said no. I can't eat rice so I was left with just the curry. In attempt to add something green I asked for the spicy prawn salad which the waiter assured me "has some sort of green vegetable but I dont know which one and some onions."

The food came out fairly quickly and it was large portions however EVERYTHING had sugar in the sauce. I had a green chicken curry which was tasty but you could tell the curry had been sweetened. Same with my boyfriends beef and mushroom dish. Same with the "spicy" shrimp salad which appeared to be vinegar, sugar/ fish sauce, and prawns.

I give it a three for the portions and quickness of the food. My other friends enjoyed their meal just "ok" but nothing special. We wont be going back as there are much better places...

What happened?

This used to be my favorite neighborhood Thai restaurant! 5+ plus! I don’t know what happened though (covid times?) but the last couple of times I ordered here things did not work out and the service wasn’t great: misunderstanding or not listening on the phone, getting the wrong order, literally scooping out chicken when I clearly ordered vegetarian (that’s a big no no! The chefs did get reprimanded for this but then they lied about getting my order wrong), getting shrimp instead of chicken etc. What a shame! It’s still ‘so so’ but mostly because of the strong sauce flavor (sugar?).. but last night I ordered red veg curry and asked for extra vegetables (because I feel like they used to be so generous with this, one of the reasons I loved it here, and now they’re skimping fr…). I basically got red curry oil soup with tofu (which was nice and soft) and some bamboo and pepper …but not even one Thai eggplant in there as stated on the menu! No extra vegetables let alone regular vegetables. I was so sad :( I go there all the time but I’m going to look for another Thai place now. Too bad. You lost a loyal...

Celebrated my uncle's birthday there with 10 people. Food took way too long. Even had is waiting a long time on drinks. Waiter kept telling us it was busy and so on. Food we get wasn't good. In the chicken dishes the chicken was way overcooked and though. The duck dishes weren't tasty at all rubbery and fatty. Taste of spices were good..but all things in the dishes were overcooked and not that tasty. After all we ate, I was still hungry, so I ordered a couple of portions of Chicken Satay..he told me it will take 15mins. I agreed, but 20min later still no good. So after 25mins I canceled the order upon the waiter said..I told you. But this took longer than he said. Also there were a lot of orders they had to attend too..outside terras was full. It seems their priorities are with Thuisbezorgd and UberEATS. Fine in guests are last place. The waiter even suggested us to come on a different day when it is more quite. Will not go...

I asked the waiter if they had WiFi, he told me no. Then I searched and found the Thaicoon WiFi. I asked why he said they didn't have, he said it was because it doesn't work, but I logged on anyway and it worked. The food was average with some of the veg not fresh at all with rotten parts. Loads of oil instead of sauce. The 3 chillies spice level was very mild for Thai food. The starter soup was not pipping hot 🔥. They sell a small glass of water for €2.75 without showing/bringing the water bottle, you don't know if you're being served tap water. Customer service was poor, have to ask things twice or more. Paid by cash and the waiter did not return with my change (though very small) for over 7min. When I went inside to use the toilet, he was carrying on with other tasks, he saw me and still did not offer my change. He has basically decided to tip himself or keep my change, presumptuously. More room for improvement.

We ordered a Massaman and a red curry through ubereats. As you can see on the picture we got a yellow curry (not a massaman or red curry) and some stir fried vegatables. We called the restaurant and they claimed it must've been ubereats their fault for switching food, but isn't the restaurant responsible for packing an order and then putting a sticker (it was a postit in this case) on it with the right name on it? Now I received something I did not like at all. Attitude of the restaurant employee was horrible and they were not trying to help at all. As the order was already very late we did end up trying the dishes they did send us and sadly the food wasn’t even that nice. Edible but that’s it. I don’t know how this restaurant can even get to a 4 star rating on google let alone the 4,6 on ubereats, especially with the (lack of) service they provide. First and last experience, for sure.

Food 5 stars Service 3 stars Takes only cash! 🙄 This is one of the best Thai foods outside of Thailand. It was really really tasty. Not too spicy, good for some people, less good for other but doesn't change the rich taste of the red curry with Gambas. You have plenty of vegetables in there and they do not save their Gambas. We had around 10 Gambas in in portion, served with rice without extra cost. The chicken pad Thai was also fabulous. Nothing to complain about, good taste, a lot of vegetables and chicken in there. This place only deserves 5 stars because of the food. If the taste of the food would only be standard I would give 3 stars
