We booked the bar tenders table on Saturday night as an anniversary celebration. There were 4 of us and we were rather disappointed with the experience.
I added up the items that were served to us and the total amount came to around €300. We could have chosen our food (we were not given a choice of food) and paid substantially less for what we got.
My understanding of a bar tenders table was that it would be an experience, with a possible personal bar tender to discuss the cocktails, how they were made and offer a personalised experience. We were given a menu to choose cocktails from and the service was fairly average. It was extremely busy so I understand that could have affected the levels of service. In addition, we stated that there was a shellfish allergy at the table and we were served prawns. Luckily the shellfish allergy was not an allergy serious enough for anaphylactic reaction.
The description on the website states that we would discover the secrets of cocktail makers and be completely pampered which was not our experience at all.
Overall we were extremely disappointed with the experience and felt we overpaid drastically for what we received. There was no element of personal service and we received standard food of the menu which was average at best. We had a reasonably decent seat but definitely not paying over €100 for. We wanted an experience but what we received was average food and good drinks but...
Read moreThe idea is good. There is no clear sign of the place. The entree is kinda messy with the limit amount and cramped tables blocking a bit the entree. When you enter it does give you a nice vibe of going somewhere mysterious. Would be great if they can make it like a wardrobe and will be nice if they can give more show like welcome drink, full kitchen operating, just showing off their bottle storage collection or a special effect of entering the belly of the beast because it seems the theme is not fully pushing through got me a bit background. The service is good and fast. The food is really like a bar food type what you get in US but sizes are more like starter size what you get in restaurant taste is oke for some and some not really that great. Great disappointment is really the smash burger got a feeling mcdonald a bit cold like the bread and good size fries. The simple cheese cake is really simple and nothing special. Such a pitty. The cocktails are OK as their prices are fair but I need to say they could step up a bit more compare what happening upstairs.
Cocktails 2+/10 not special enough and balance is off. Service 3.5/10 maybe a bit more rock and roll and playfull Food 1.5/10 focus on...
Read moreStay away ! Completely rude and unprofessional staff members. There were 5 of us, no one greeted us at the door after we came down from The Flying Dutchman, after 5 mins of waiting I approached the bar tender who was having casual conversation with a customer. After she ignored me, I had to politely interrupt , "sorry, are you still serving food ?". She got super rude and cocky and kept giving attitude, kept insisting I should have said "good evening", specially after the lack of attention in the main floor. After I told her off for being unprofessional, the manager (who refused to give me his name) started giving me attitude and kept telling me how I should say "good evening" , it was a bad and hostile environment at 1:30am. The manager is badly trained and only escalated the situation, all 5 of us left , however the manager laid his hands on me after I had to take his photo to share with management. I'm not sure I experienced this because I have dark skin complexion or not as other guests were treated as normal. terrible experience , pls...
