Loved this place. We travelled out of the centre on the Metro to come here after seeing it featured on Tiktok! It didn't disappoint! If you go during peak hours (brunch time) you will need to be prepared to wait in a queue, but it is worth the wait in my opinion. You can only reserve a table for 7 or more people. Anyone with a group of less has to wait in line. We waited about 30/45 mins to be seated and our order was taken about 5/6 mins after we were seated which was great. I had the avocado on toast with bacon and a sunny side up egg. The flavor was awesome and the coffee and juices were fresh and fulfilling. This was a nice, healthy-feeling, meal that set us up for the day and helped us recover from a hangover! Staff are friendly and speak English. Overall will defo come again!

Didn’t like this place: 1) too long service. It took 25 mins for the waiter to come and take my order (even though I waived several times) 2) they have second floor, but they don’t place people there, while there were people waiting outside to be seated. There were also places on first floor, but I didn’t get why people are not seated 3) food is so so. Took a salmon sandwich. I think it’s kind of overpriced for such sandwich. Coffee was ok though 4) not convenient for work. Even though was in the list of one of the best coffee places to work in Amsterdam I wouldn’t recommend to go there. At least, I am not going there anymore. P. S. Worth to note that waiter did not charge me for coffee. Probably as a compensation for waiting

The enterior itself is very aesthetic and welcoming. We waited a bit in the front, not too long considering that it was Saturday afternoon. The service itself was okay, nothing really exceptional, too warm or welcoming. Food was okay, a bit on a pricey side considering the fact that you get a slice of bread with a spread of burata - pesto - and a couple of cherry tomatoes. Something that really stood out and sadly in a negative way is for how long we waited for our food. A burrata toast and an avocado toast we waited for around 30 minutes. Should you visit? If you are in the neighbourhood give it a go, but its not worth traveling to or going an extra mile to experience the food and the service.

I went in the restaurant this morning as there were still at least 1/3 unoccupied tables. However, I was turned away by one of the waitress as she said that the restaurant was very busy and we would have to wait for a long time. She didn't specified how long were we supposed to wait and just left us there unattended, and there were just the two of us.

We left in a huge disappointment as we are tourists who came specially for the good reviews on Google, but we wouldn't come again because of the unfriendly attitude of the waitress.

Response to owner's response: well I hope you could listen to your customer's comments as I've seen quite a few similar comments about the unsatisfactory services here. If the staff is not enough you could have given a time for the customer to come back, say an hour later, or offer the customer to get a drink first, if they are ok with it. It does let customers down when they see plenty of empty tables in the restaurant but they were turned away as we wouldnt expect a restaurant not to have enough staff to serve when the restaurant is only at...

This place is very typically Dutch, with very nice setting and excellent food. I really insist on the fact the dishes are delicious and fresh. But my God, service is one of the worst I've experienced in my life. I know Dutch service is not famous for its efficiency, I used to live in Amsterdam. But this place should enter the Guiness Book of Records for the slow motion effect of their staff. Both kitchen and waiting staff. We had to leave without the dessert we ordered 20 minutes before. 10 minutes to get seated, 15 minutes to get our order taken, 25 minutes to get served, 15 minutes to get our plates removed from our table and... no dessert. Although it was magically ready when we got up and left. Staff kept chitchatting and were really uninterested by the customers. Or by the fact we clearly said we were unhappy. Same for cooks. Can’t say they were that busy by the way, with about 4 of 5 customers inside. Anyway, big shame cause the place and food...

Let me tell you something. If you live in Amsterdam and haven’t been to Benji’s yet… what are you even doing with your life?! Seriously, cancel your plans, grab your tote bag, and RUN—not walk—to this slice of brunch paradise.

And now. Let’s talk about the queen, the legend, the one and only… Sara. WITHOUT AN H. That’s right—because she doesn’t need an H to be an absolute icon. This woman isn’t just a waitress. She’s a culinary fairy godmother, a brunch sorceress, a beam of radiant human sunshine with the speed of a Formula 1 pit crew and the comic timing of a Netflix stand-up special (even wore a ferrari t-shirt).

She was: So nice, we wanted to invite her to our wedding. So fast, she practically teleported with our food. So funny, we laughed like we were at a Kevin Hart show.

The vibe? Aesthetic overload. Plants. Sunlight. Smiles. It’s like your Instagram feed had a baby with your dreams.

We literally had to hold back tears. Yes, it...
