Tucked away by one of Amsterdam’s charming canals, Café Tisfris offers a refreshing escape from the city’s more tourist-heavy spots. We stopped by for a relaxed lunch on a sunny afternoon and couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience.

We sat outside to make the most of the weather, and the quiet, scenic location made for a perfect backdrop. The atmosphere is laid-back and local, with friendly service and a relaxed vibe that made us feel right at home.

For food, I had the mango and chicken salad, which was fresh, light, and packed with flavor. My friend ordered the open goat cheese sandwich, which came beautifully presented and was full of rich, creamy flavor. My partner went for the Serrano ham and burrata open sandwich – a definite favorite – while another friend enjoyed the pulled chicken open sandwich, which was hearty and satisfying.

We had a couple of beers, water, and a Coke to go with our meal. Everything was well-balanced and just what we needed. The total bill came to around €110 for four people, which felt very fair given the quality of the food and the setting.

All in all, Café Tisfris is a great find – perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful spot with great food, friendly service, and a more local feel. We’ll...

Unfortunately meanwhile some of staffs are very nice, but there’s one woman staff with blonde short hair is not friendly at all. Very bad service! Especially the way she took the menu on my table aggressively while she wanted to put my order on the table. And when i tried to smile at her, she only looked at me with flat expression just like she didn’t like me. I felt very uncomfortable & couldn’t enjoy my coffee at all!

To avoid a misunderstanding from an ignorant people, im not naming names (Andre dJ), during my visit, it was not busy hours at all. The restaurant was quite empty, and before I left I already addressed my complaint to the other waitress, he felt sorry what happened to us.

I need to write this, because I believe the owner should also aware about this service, we paid for service charge. There are several complaints related with the service as well. Since you don’t know the real situation out there, don’t act like you’re the wisest people, bragging about the way you being “direct” and calling everyone idiot. Btw complaining about the fries at FEBO should be directly addressed to the staff as well, instead of writing a...

Bad experienced i’ve ever had! Not a good place to visit with family especially if you want to bring your child. We are very disappointed & suprised with the lady who works there. During my visit with my little one, she seemed very unpleasant. She showed her annoyed gesture by closing her ear in front of me when my 16 month old baby screeching while playing with my husband. And also when she served our order, she showed us very unfriendly gesture. It was very obvious she didn’t welcome with my daughter’s presence.. i could see her “unpleasant facial expressions” everytime my baby laughing or playing around at my table. I think baby/child not accept in this place. To the owner, if your place not suitable for kids or babies you should let us know first. We already ordered but in only less than 20 mins before we finished everything, unfortunately we should leave because we were not welcomed...

Honestly the worst food I ever had in my life. Tastes like hospital food. Bland no flavour, the soup was mash of left over vegs “soup of the day”. And most importantly the manager behind the bar extremely unpleasant woman with some unresolved issues. Came to me the moment I started speaking with my wife on the phone asking me to close off as the sound from my phone was too high and affecting other guests. Again, she came to me literally 2 seconds after I picked up the call. Not sure how quickly she was able to sense the dissatisfaction from other diners. Regardless, the call volume was certainly not higher than any other speaker present at the restaurant and surely no one seemed to be bothered except her. I got a sense of racist vibe but wont go down that here. It is certainly not a recommended place to visit for food or good service.

An absolutely lovely place. I stopped by for a quick hour of wifi and work. The wifi speed was excellent and the environment was breezy and beautiful. The server who served me was such a kind and lovely person. I ordered a mint tea and guess what, they get you a cup of real fresh mint leaves (I was expecting a tea bag). The cookie was also really tasty. I sat in the terrace area and the vibe was absolutely amazing. The view right by the canaal watching boats of happy people floating by. I'd so come again for a brunch sometime.
