I saw the other negative reviews and they are true. Disrespectful. Have to wait outside and then told us we lost our places but we didn't move. The cook tells to people to wait outside (so he doesn't lose money) even during bad weather. He tells us that we have to wait 20 minutes but it's 1 h minimum. The room is too small. Not enough places. Only places for 8 persons. And 2 little miserable tables for the rest. That's not comfortable. Not good conditions to stay and to eat. And it's expensive. 16 euros the burger. He is not customer oriented. He just wants money and he is agressif. He could tell to people "not place, don't wait outside because you have to wait one hour." He told us that we lose our places but we were 4 outside and he thought we left. He is not honest. That's not normal to have a such attitude and such conditions to eat. We were happy to find a gluten free restaurant but when I see this and what we experienced, I prefer to avoid this kind of restaurants. That's so negative. He is angry when he is under pression and becomes agressif. He wants clients for money and if we wait in the restaurant, we are the problem because he told us to wait "25 minutes" but "outside" like dogs. I'm so disappointed to have this kind of services. Niet aangenaam. Agressief.
Read moreAlthough they were great with gluten free food, when I told the management I couldn't have dairy they seemed to dismiss this. I asked what I could order and he said "anything on the menu" so I chose a sandwich and it came out with cheese on it. I went to tell him this was wrong and he argued with me that "all toasties have cheese" and I should have known better (in spite of me already telling him I'm lactose intolerant and asking for the vegan menu). It just seemed like he didn't care about my other allergies which isn't a good business etiquette for a cafe meant to specialise in allergies. Eventually I was offered a replacement at a fee, which I refused. And after that was finally offered a sandwich with just chicken and houmous. Overall this argument left a very bad impression and I didn't feel welcome at all. I have anxiety about eating out because of my many allergies and had chosen this place hoping to be treated a bit better than the norm, but this was worse than any normal restaurant. However my friend did say that her burger was nice, so I guess...
Read moreWe LOVED this little place especially because it is 100% deliciously GLUTEN FREE which is a huge deal for me as a tourist! The gentleman who owns it (who's name escapes me sadly!) was very friendly, hospitable, polite and a great conversationalist! After cooking the best burgers we'd ever eaten, he checked to see how everything was for us and if we needed anything and we got the impression he actually really cared about the food, the service he offered and us, as the customers! Amazing food, you would definitely never know it was gluten free, it tasted so good I had to double check there was no gluten here (we went back 3 days consecutively!), amazing service and in a really cool area! I highly recommend the burgers, the hot chocolate and the home-made brownies! We cannot wait to go back there and encouraged the owner to come to London and assured him we would be his best gluten free customers! Don't...
