Dèsa — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Our restaurant bill was 28 euros. Woman said that if we pay by card, we will need to pay 32 euros. It is very strange. I work in a restaurant and if the bill is 28 euros, then the client pays this amount - it doesn’t matter in cash or by card. Seems like a scam to make us pay in cash - so she could take the money past the register and avoid taxes. We didn’t make a fuss, paid 4 euros more by card and left.

Perhaps someone will read my review before going to this restaurant.

Maybe you need a pill for mental health if you have been caught on lie and still keep lying? There was no word about tips, you were just standing next to me for so long waiting for me to pay in cash when I have already said many times that my boyfriend was going to pay the bill and he only had card. I remember how sad you became when realised that we were not going to pay in cash. To be honest, I had cash in my purse but not for you; it was for people who don't make us pay more without any reason. All other restaurants where we were eating got tips from us. Not worth the money.. quality was good but taste was ok.. quantity was also less for the price… also your comment below shows how rude are you with the customers… i didnt really want to add this earlier just not to spoil your restaurant reputation as i really like the indonesian people as they are usually warm and kind unlike you.. you call your restaurant authentic and it was not authentic and you expect me to give great review which i cant help... and also you keep minimum for 2 ppl.. there are other indonesian restaurants which cost bit more higher but their quantity is much more then what you give and tastewise much better.. As a picky eater, I rely so much on google review to decide where to eat during traveling. My rules is simple 4.7 an above. This one is different, I didnt google and just rely on our instinct while strolling around De Pijp area. Came in, greeted by Olin a very agile and straight forward lady and surprisingle very welcoming and friendly. Didnt expect much on the food, as I knew it’s hard to find Indonesian food that close to home in Europe (being an Indonesian and simply a picky eater one 😜). Surprisingly, this is the closest one I got by far and we ended up going there TWICE! Bakso taste like “abang abang”, fried rice from Tante was soooo delicious - I have a high standard on fried rice (it was not easy to get my “approval” for this one 😅)and finally got to taste Emping again as it came with Gado Gado!
