IJssalon Tofani — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I stumbled upon this charming little ice cream shop during my walk, and I’m so glad I decided to stop in. The place immediately gave off a warm and inviting vibe, and the staff were absolutely wonderful — super friendly, smiling, and genuinely welcoming. It’s rare to feel such good energy in a small shop, but they made the experience memorable.

I tried two flavors: chocolate and lemon — a classic combination, but this shop really nailed it. The chocolate was rich, smooth, and deeply satisfying without being overly sweet. It had that perfect, velvety texture that melts just right. The lemon, on the other hand, was refreshing, zesty, and full of natural citrus flavor. It balanced out the chocolate perfectly, making for a great contrast.

The shop itself was clean and cozy, with a few seats to sit down and enjoy your ice cream. The service was fast, and you could tell everything was freshly made. Prices were reasonable for the quality, and portions were generous enough to make it feel worth it.

I was drinking coffee there and the Chinese lady who works there was so rude, she comes to our table screaming and saying us to go out of the bar because she doesn’t like us, i tell her to call her boss but she continues screaming and yelling. It was and another girl italian that she was very lovely and familar with customers. Every time that i come to Amsterdam i go there to take coffee but this time was my last and never come back. The girl I had to specify the nationality because you have more employees not just one, you have camera in your bar and you can open to see, she never come to speak to us politely and even if I tell her why you are screaming she contnued to scream and tell us to go out of bar, if you think that your employer is telling the truth I suggest you to open the camera and see. And when I was to go I speak with another girl saying like “bye” and she tell her dont speak with them. This is the truth sir. Im so sorry but very disappointed with your employer. We paid 4.50 for two tiny scoops of gelato. We got dark chocolate. It is the worst gelato I have ever had. And we’ve been many places in Europe. It was grainy, almost like there was sawdust type texture in it. It didn’t taste like sugar granules but flex of some substance that we couldn’t identify. The taste was horrible.
