One day trip to Amsterdam and huge problem - where to eat. There are many restaurants in this huge city but it's always worth to check which one is the good one. Thanks to Google Maps / TripAdvisor reviews, we picked La Zoccola. The place from outside is pretty odd. It's like a hole in a building with lots of stuff inside. When we came there, there was noone inside. We had a mixed feeling but come one - so many users cannot be wrong in so many positive reviews. Because of that we gave a shot.

We ordered three pizzas 2x Diavolas and Prosciutto. After some time, we had our order. Pizza was huge, thin and... taste so good! My Diavola tasted like the one I ate in local pizzeria in Verona. It was so good that we left huge tip.

There is a toilet inside but it's better not to use it. It's clean but looks like in African village.

Credit cards allowed. Split receipts not allowed but split payments in one receipt, yes.

Do I recommend? Of course! Do I come back? It will be my first stop when I come back...

I came here for their Margherita pizza. With some help from the very friendly and beautiful lady/ host I had ordered one. Half covered with buffalo mozzarella on top. I never have been to Italy, specifically Napels. So I can't compare.

It was delicious. I'll go back again, but for a full Margherita pizza. I'm very satisfied with the balance of all the ingredients. It had a rather thin and floppy base, so you don't taste too much of the dough. The tomato sauce tasted fresh and a bit tangy. The cow mozzarella was creamy and complemented with fresh basil leafs.

The restaurant is cozy and not big. It wasn't so busy, but I like to recommend that you make a reservation just to make sure you have a table. Reservation is possible from 2 or more persons. The location is excellent. Just in a side street of Nieuwendijk, one of Amsterdam's famous shopping streets.
