Mount Everest Tandoori — Restaurant in Amsterdam

My best experience of Indian-Nepalese restaurant in the Netherlands! We ordered mango lassi, tandoori chicken, palak paneer, momos, and garlic naan. I didn’t expect much from the mango lassi (because I thought it’s same everywhere), but I’ve never tried this fresh and healthy (not too sweet) mango lassi ever before. The tandoori chicken was just amazing, it came with smoke like just came out of their oven, and I could taste the nice smoky flavor from it. Palak paneer is my favorite Indian curry, but the one I had at this restaurant is the best of the best. I could taste the fresh spinach and also rich flavor of the paneer cheese. It was almost shocking to me. I already liked it and tried it at so many places, but didn’t expect it to be even better. Their momos were also perfectly steamed and a great starter. We went for our anniversary—I wanted to try something different. We haven't had much Indian-style cuisine in Amsterdam, and when I saw how highly-rated this place was, I figured it would be a good place to try out. I was not disappointed! The food was delicious with many unique (Nepalese) offerings (of course, I had to try the Choylla Pokhara, and it was excellent, along with the Peshwari Naan which was also uniquely flavored). The staff were also quite attentive and friendly. It's a little out of the way, but take the opportunity to get on the (free) ferry from Centraal Station and it's a short walk from the drop-off (about 11 mins or so). We dined here on Feb 14th, and the food was delicious. However, we ordered korma (sweet/spicy), and it was too spicy for my liking. Despite the spiciness, the flavors were amazing.

Nevertheless, they still need to work on their service. There was only one person serving the entire restaurant, and his attire didn’t match the prices they charge for meals. Additionally, the service was extremely slow. We waited nearly 30 minutes before our order was taken, and our drinks were forgotten. Furthermore, my starter wasn’t served due to a misunderstanding.
